Located at the edge of the Paladru Lake, this family-friendly campsite is the perfect choice for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a beautiful environment.

Facilities at Camping Détente et Clapotis include a swimming pool, a paddling pool and a play area. The campsite also has a direct access the lakeside beach, where you will find a volleyball court and a playground.

Feeling sporty? You can choose among a wide range of activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing or you can just hire a bike and explore the beautiful natural surroundings.

All guests are welcome to book a masseuse for some pampering or relax with a sauna session, while the kids can take part in fun activities organised by the site team.

After a long day out, enjoy a dinner on the terrace of the on-site restaurant overlooking the lake. You will try delicious local specialities and the famous regional wines while listening to live music.

Local attractions

Walk to the Grande Chartreuse, the head monastery of the Carthusian order located in the Chartreuse Mountains and visit its museum, learning about the life of monks and feeling the magic atmosphere of the place. After the visit, take a picnic lunch in the Regional Natural Park of Chartreuse with its fantastic views of the surrounding valley.

Discover the historical Château de Virieu and its beautiful gardens "à la française" and visit the Musée Archéologique du Lac de Paladru.

Take a trip to the city of Grenoble and explore its beautiful Parc Naturel Regional du Vercors. The city offers also many interesting museums, such as the Archaeological Museum and the Musée Dauphinois.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.
Please select an electric hook-up if you wish to hire a fridge.

Entertainment and activities are available between 01/07 and 31/08.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pitches: a €10 deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.

Reception is open from 8am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7pm between 15/04 and 01/07.
Reception is open from 8am to 8pm between 01/07 and 31/08.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Open fires are prohibited.

Local eco/city tax of €0.35 per person over the age of 18 per night is not included and must be paid on arrival.

No vehicle movement between 11pm and 7am.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
