You'll find Camping La Sorguette on the beautiful Isle sur la Sorgue in the heart of the Isle of Provence near Avignon. We are on the banks of the clear waters of the Sorgue river, in an untouched natural environment set between Luberon, Ventoux, and Alpilles.
On site we have a playground for children, a ping pong table, volleyball, basketball and pétanque courts, a pool table, a TV room and library. We can also organise bicycle hire and canoe and kayak sessions so guests can discover the local area with an adventurer's spirit! Fly-fishing enthusiasts should also consider bringing their kit as trout are abundant in the clear waters of the Sorgue (a fishing licence is required).
In high season we run children’s workshops for four- to 12-year-olds from Monday to Friday, 10am to 12 noon. For bigger kids we also have an activities programme with a different event each week such as hiking, bike rides, tree climbing adventure games, canoeing, guided tours and regional gastronomy tasting sessions.
Les Bambous snack bar is open every evening in the summer (July and August) and we run musical activities once a week. Our campsite shop is open every day in the high season and at other various times during off-peak season: here you can buy daily essentials such as bread, croissants and newspapers. Gas can be bought from reception.
For 30 years, the Hediard family has been welcoming guests here to their campsite with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Come and discover the eco-tourism approach to holidays with family and friends.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.

Isle sur Sorgue has always been a mecca for culture and antiques. Museums, secondhand markets and art galleries all blossom in the lovely maze of little streets interspersed with the many branches of the Sorgue river. The town runs a famous and typically Provençal market on Sunday mornings and the campsite runs a free shuttle service in summer to the town centre for market days.
Breathe in the Provence air with outdoor activities like hiking, biking, horse-riding, climbing and canoeing which are all available in the local region.
In summer, just 2km from the campsite, you can enjoy the local pool with two pools and a paddling pool surrounded by a large, shaded park that’s a great place for a family picnic.
We are just 23km from Avignon, on the edge of the Luberon and the Mont Ventoux. The location is ideally situated for heading out on day trips into the surrounding area to visit the Provençal villages of Ansouis, Gordes, Roussillon and Ménerbes in the Luberon area, Séguret in Haut-Vaucluse and Venasque in Comtat Venaissin.
