What customers say

This pleasant, wooded site offers spacious pitches and a warm welcome. It's ideally located for cycling the Flow Velo route and is close to a river and town. While some facilities are being renovated and the site looks a little tired in places, the showers and toilets are clean and plentiful.

Electric grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked The receptionist was very polite and spoke very good english yo my rubbish french.
The pitches were under trees which I really liked
The showers/toilets were nice and quite a few of them. Kids said pool was nice.
The surrounding area is lovely. It’s next to a river and a short walk into town.

Disliked Wouldn’t say disliked but it looks a bit run down in places. There’s a lot of overgrown weeds and junk about. The bar although open wasn’t very appealing and the on-site shop didn’t have much in it.
The taps on the pitches don’t work so you have to go find the main tap.
I think maybe they are in the process of doing it up so hopefully next visit it should have improved.

Electric grass and earth motorhome pitch

Liked The seclusion!
Given the time of year there was only one other van on the pitches. The pitches are in woodland close to the Charente. Most of the facilities ( shop, bar, pool etc) were not open or were in the process of being renovated. This was the case for the showers and toilets but they were clean and spacious and I wish the owners well in their development plans.

Local attractions

First stop may well be gorgeous Angoulême (20 minutes’ drive), a designated City of Art and History as well as the world capital of comics. The National Comic Strip and Image Centre has oodles of original cartoons on show, while the shops and cafés of the hilltop old town are fun to explore on foot. The city’s culinary heart is the Marché des Halles, worth a visit at lunch time to cobble together a picnic of fresh bread, local cheeses and organic tomatoes. Another pretty pitstop is Cognac (35 minutes), with mellow-stoned 17th-century houses giving way to ornate Belle Epoque architecture in the town centre. Book a tour and tasting at a big cognac house like Rémy Martin or Martell, or taste the local Pineau des Charentes liqueur in a pavement café. If the kids are getting twitchy at all this sightseeing, placate them with horse riding or a run around at Eden Paintball (both 10 minutes).
