Liked: De beschikbaarheid op korte termijn, maar we snapten al snel waardoor dat zo was.

Disliked: Wat een puinhoop bij de entree, overal vuil en rondslingerende spullen. Vieze douches en toiletten maakten dat we heel gauw weg zijn gegaan. Helaas hadden we al betaald voor twee nachten….

Disliked: Gates were locked before 10.30pm, we were refused re entry and told to sleep on the road outside!! Our camping spot already had all our belongings on it. We had to beg to be allowed entry.
Bins were over flowing and smelt bad
Bathrooms were dirty, over flowing drains from the shower.
Swimming pool area was very run down.
General up keep of the site was poor and communication wasn’t clear about gate closure
We wouldnt go back which is a pitty as the location was beautiful

Disliked: Pretty chaotic setup.

Fairly obsolete toilets and (cold) shower block.

Got let down and this was a last minute stay. Made a surcharge of €15 for my twin axle caravan. Bandit.

Local attractions

A good place to start nearby is at the House of the Bay of the Marais Poitevin (10 minutes’ walk) for an insight into the area’s history and its role in the development of commercial mussel cultivation. More history is on display at Fort Boyard, commissioned by Louis XIV in the17th century. The offshore fortress can be visited on a boat trip from Rochefort (45 minutes’ drive). Elsewhere along the coast, you may like to play a round of golf with a sea view on the 18-hole course at Golf la Rochelle La Prée (10 minutes) or spend a day in La Rochelle (20 minutes), visiting the aquarium and maritime museum or tackling the treetop trails of Vertigo Parc La Rochelle Aventure. Alternatively, cross the bridges to explore Île de Ré (20 minutes) or Oléron (an hour). Turning your attention inland is a good idea too, because the lush green landscapes of the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park are rather gorgeous. This area, often known as ‘Green Venice' because of its network of waterways, is a wildlife haven alive with birds, butterflies and dragonflies. There are walking and bike trails through the park, or you can join boat tours in Arçais (45 minutes).

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/07 and 30/09 (subject to weather conditions).

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. between 01/07 and 31/08.
