We really liked the size of the campsite and the facilities available. Our children loved the waterside and spent many hours on it! The animals on site also kept our children entertained. The staff were very helpful. The site is also close to the town and nearby shops and beaches.

Pitches were located in wooded area with plenty of shade. The camp facilities were clean and reception friendly and helpful. The area of Le Baul was an absolute delight with wide clean sa dy beaches stretching as far as you can see and would not hesitate to go again.

    Disliked:

The only minus was being directly under an antenna I paid for WiFi but lacked band width and had difficulty in getting a refund.

From the manager...

Bonjour Monsieur,

Local attractions

The site is two kilometres from the nine-kilometre beach at La Baule-Escoublac, where there are lots of beach clubs around the bay that operate during high season. You can also go horse riding and pony trekking along the beach, and there's a multi-activity park, ParcOfolies, in the grounds of La Baule Castle.

Next door you've got Brière Regional Natural Park, where boat trips around the park's waterways depart from several ports including Saint-Lyphard and Saint-André-des-Eaux.

Explore the fortifications and narrow streets that network the medieval town of Guérande, where the famous fleur de sel sea salt is harvested, or visit Croisic Océarium, 17 kilometres from Camping L'Eden, which houses 4,000 fish, 25 sharks, turtles, penguins and other sea creatures. You'll also find a monkey park in Guérande, as well as fairground attractions at Luna Park.

Wander around the shipyards and aircraft factory of Saint-Nazaire, or visit the Saint-Nazaire Ecomuseum, which lies on the banks of the Loire estuary and traces the historic, industrial and maritime heritage of Saint-Nazaire.

Nantes is less than an hour's drive away.
