Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: Stayed end of June. We arrived in torrential rain to pitch our tent. Chose campsite due to pool, pool was still closed due to weather (cannot be helped but think people arriving with kids should be contacted to let them know). Owner not helpful, never offered a space for 3 small kids to stand into while we pitched (the restaurant was not open yet but they could have used that for the 40 mins). He said he was rushing to collect his kid from school. They have recently made pitches bigger (great) but the digging is freshly done meaning all pitches were full of mud, which made very difficult camping due to the rain. All shoes etc were destroyed, we only managed to clean them properly in the next campsite. We rang for a token for the clothes dryer later that eve as everything was soaked, it was like we were putting him out (reception not open, you have to ring). Had to ring again Re electricity which wasn't working as he forgot to turn out site pitch on. Website says onsite shop, completely false, tiny shelf of duck in a can etc at reception (if you can get it while open). 3 toilets in total, one was closed. 3 showers in total, one was not working. We were booked in for 2 nights and left after 1. The only campsite out of 6 that we were disappointed in during our holiday.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: Friendly team, lovely location and pitches. The swimming pool was excellent - a great size and it wasn’t bogged down by rules (and everyone still used it responsibly!). The toilet/shower block was clearly new and it was excellent.

Disliked: Only slight complaint is that we went to buy ice creams one afternoon and, despite ringing the bell a couple of times, no one came to serve us so we left without ice cream and the campsite lost a very small bit on income.

Foodies: sorted. The area around Camping Le Néri is filled with culinary tradition, from the vineyards of Armagnac and the white wines of the Côtes de Gascogne to the Honey Museum in Gramont and the many local farms to visit such as La Ferme Jeanfrance in Mauroux: zip around the countryside here to buy the freshest of fresh foie gras, magrets, confits, cou farci… More of an active sort? There are walking and cycling trails accessible near the site and two golf courses in Auch and in Fleurance. Saint-Clar has a large leisure centre and paintball is available in Caudecoste.
