The pretty site of La Forge de Sainte-Marie is among the world famous champagne vineyards in this quiet corner of France.
This eighteenth century forge, on the route between the sandy beaches of Lac du Der Chantecoq and Château Cirey-sur-Blaise (residence of Voltaire), is in a perfect setting to explore this peaceful part of France.
In this retreat you will find a full range of on-site facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool and bar/restaurant overlooking our trout-filled fishing lake (fishing permit required; available to purchase in the local off-licence).
At La Forge de Sainte-Marie you are sure to find something for everyone with our varied entertainment programme (free of charge). Whether you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet or fulfilling holiday, we aim to satisfy you all. Why not spend a morning on a gentle walk in the forest, while the children (aged 4-14) join their friends at the kids' club? You could then spend the afternoon on the sports field competing in the mini-Olympics, trying your hand at archery or, a little less strenuous, playing pétanque; watercolour painting, fishing in the lake or sampling some fine wines and traditional French cheeses from the region on our sun terrace (extra charges apply).
Spend the evening in our friendly bar and restaurant. Come and join us for an evening of live music or sit around the campfire. Not to be missed are our trips by tractor to a nearby farm, where the farmer holds delicious barbecues.
With their attention to detail and good local knowledge, our multilingual international staff are always ready to help. Whether it is to ask advice on the local area, plan a day out or something more complicated such as a visit to the doctor, dentist or garage, our reception staff at La Forge offer the best quality service.
Feast in our traditional family restaurant housed in a 300-year-old converted building where we offer a choice of set and à la carte menus to suit all tastes and appetites. Alternatively, you may choose to eat alfresco on our spacious outdoor terrace overlooking the site's own fishing lake.
Families are very welcome, with menus for both children and young adults. To keep the kids entertained, they can enjoy our fantastic table mats, including games, puzzles and colouring in. Combine this with the relaxing ambiance and you have a perfect evening for parents and children alike.
Our bar, situated within the restaurant, is open daily and ideal for a mid-afternoon beer or late evening cognac. We offer a range of fine wines, and a trip to the region would not be complete without sampling a glass of champagne.
During certain times of the season you can also take advantage of our on site pizza takeaway. A range of takeaway snacks are also available throughout the whole season.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can now make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children on one pitch.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
