Camping Loscolo

Liked Nice private en-suite facilities to our electric pitch. Very friendly helpful staff. Good e bike hire €20 half a day which is worth it to visit Penestin Sunday market and Trehiguier . 5 min walk to lovely Loscolo beach. Good coastal walks on GR34. Heated Swimming pool is simply superb with jacuzzi jets! You could hear the sea from our pitch.

Disliked Some of the pitches with en-suite facilities were rather small and uneven. Bar area could be improved a bit dour and dated. Location of Pétanque court was not very inviting. The WiFi on the en-suite facilities was awful l think it should be better when you are paying more for those sites.

Liked The swimming pool facilities are exceptional, think Center Parcs in mini miniature! Our pitch was excellent with private bathroom and kitchen area. The site is quiet and peaceful and close to the beach.

Disliked The site is remote so stock up before you arrive if you do not wish to drive off site once you are pitched up.

Liked The staff..... friendly helpful and great. The location.... sea was 3 mins away...you could hear it at night. The facilities....the private bathroom was excellent and as we only have a small van t4 vw it was like luxury....the swimming pool ... lovely.... the cycle walking path literally next door to Penestin was handy......value for money.... cheaper than most UK sites...quiet too.

Disliked ....... bar and restaurant bring open would have been good but it was just out of season. Walk into town was 5k.... ok if your fit but may be an issue for some

Liked The location is absolutely amazing and the pitch was quiet (right at the far end).
The staff are really friendly.
The kids liked the pool.
But really it’s all about the location, the beach, and sunsets into the sea.

Disliked For the price, the facilities are basic. The shop has no fresh food (and almost no wine or beer…) and the bar area is very lack-lustre. I didn’t see any food being served. It shuts at 9pm and was empty even when the campsite was full.
It’s all rather overpriced.

There is one toilet block for the whole site and it was a long way from our pitch. It looks like it used to be men and women’s but inexplicably the two parts are both now unisex.

The location is quite beautiful, right on top of the cliffs and beaches of the Mine d’Or.

Within 10 minutes drive - 20 minute pedal - of the site is the wonderful village of Penestin. A large Carrefour and a good range of independent shops and eateries on the high street. Penestin also has a bustling market on a Sunday morning (0800 - 1300) and during high season, an additional market on a Wednesday morning. NB - Whilst the village has a number of pleasant eateries, booking ahead - they get busy - would be advised.

The newly opened pool is a real gem. Around 10 metres in length and gently sloping it is supplemented by a number of features that are more than enough to keep the younger ones - and older ones - entertained. A lazy river, waterfall, whirlpool and jacuzzi. Alongside this there are areas both inside and outside to relax.

Generally flat, roomy and well shaded pitches although you may be required to work around the roots.

The toilet blocks were 'informally' divided between an adults only block alongside a dedicated family block. The facilities themselves are great, plenty of room, clean, plenty of hot water. However, during the evenings, the adult block in particular became difficult to negotiate. The issue being the way the facility was used by the clientele.

The onsite bar / restaurant was just not up to scratch for the size of the campsite. Extremely limited food choices. Unusual opening times. Austere seating area. Not the kind of place you could decide to go for a meal on the spur of the moment which is exactly what it should be for. Alongside this, whilst you can get food in the village, there is a death of takeaway options unless you're really in to pizza and want to eat before 2000 . . .

The functions supporting the swimming pool aren't yet adequate. There isn't enough of a terrace to relax and be by the pool if you're young ones are still going for it. There aren't adequate toilet facilities. There aren't showers to use before entering the pool.

Disliked Hard ground, pitches are all on top of each other so little space. Toilets and facilities were dirty and didn’t seemed to be cleaned in our 3 night stay. We booked this site 6 months in advance of our stay and requested 2 pitches next to each other as we were travelling in a group. When we checked in, he showed us 2 pitches next to each other on map but they weren’t actually anywhere near each other and had to walk past 15 other pitches to get to each other. One of our kids fell in the brambles at back of our pitch trying to get to the other pitche without the walk round. Very frustrating that the site didn’t inform us that they wouldn’t be able to provide our request of pitches next to each other.

Liked New pool was amazing, pitch with private shower, toilet, washing area was lovely, bike hire was great, staff helpful, great muscles, nice pitches.

Liked Very nice site, flat, spacious pitches, on site bar and snack bar, good showers, toilets and washing up facilities. Short walk to the beach and coastal path. Friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked Wi-fi coverage was poor on our pitch. Too many emails asking me to use their App for check-in and other stuff There did not appear to be any option to view the App in English or respond without using the app
