Camping Les Goélands is a well-placed campsite on the Atlantic coast in south Brittany, with direct access to the beach. It's a family-friendly site with a calm, relaxing environment bringing countryside and seaside together. Onsite is a heated pool with a water play area, a whirlpool bench and jets, as well as a games room, table tennis, kids' play areas and evening entertainment in July and August. The toilet and shower block has disabled-friendly facilities and a family washroom. A launderette is also on site.

Route directions

From Nantes, take the N165 west and exit at Junction 20 for Muzillac then then take the D20 west and the D153 south. Take the seventh road on the left and follow the road until you reach Bétahon, the campsite's reception building is in the middle of the village on the left.

Local attractions

Take a boat trip to one of the many islands in the Gulf of Morbihan, such as l'Île-aux-Moines and l'Île-d'Arz. Other options are the Port du Crouesty, the Château de Suscinio, the small traditional village of Rochefort-en-Terre, the Zoo and Botanical Garden of Branféré, Tropical Parc, the Prehistoric Park of Brittany, Vannes and its ramparts, the ancient megalithic stones at Carnac, the aquarium at Vannes and the butterfly garden. You can also discover shore fishing for oysters, mussels, clams, winkles and prawns at Damgan or boat fishing as well as other beach activities such as kiting, windsurfing, sky surfing and sand yachting. There are also many different walks around the campsite (the GR 34 trail is at the entrance to the campsite) that you can use to explore the natural beauty of this region.
