Welcome to the land of joie de vivre (that's the good life for non-natives who haven't brushed up on their French just yet…).
Set among a pine forest, this family-friendly resort is less than two kilometres from la mer, wide sandy beaches and water-based activities like surfing, canoeing, paddleboarding and yachting. Its Médoc peninsula location is among vineyards, historic châteaux and local farmers’ markets too, and plenty of scenic cycle paths lie nearby.
This pristine family-run park has been happily and warmly welcoming guests for more than 25 years and has added plenty to keep both littlies and large ones entertained: a heated pool with neighbouring paddling pool for starters, plus a playground for the under-12s, a sports court, a pétanque pitch and ping pong tables. You can also rent bikes on site (as well as trailers and seats for tiny ones to tag along in), making pedals to the seaside a cinch.
Rumour has it that the site’s bartender is an expert mixologist, serving up cracking cocktails alongside good Médoc wines, beers and other crisply cold drinks to keep you nicely supplied all day and into the evening throughout the dance and live music nights put on at the park in high season. Also during the school holidays, the Camping des Pins team organises regular entertainment and activities for the kids' club.
The site restaurant serves up pizzas and local cuisine; otherwise you can cook on the communal barbecue, or eat out in nearby Soulac-sur-Mer.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.
The restaurant is open between 01/07 and 31/08.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
Reception is unmanned after 6:30 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 25/05 and 28/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Plenty of cycle paths lie nearby for two-wheeled tours of the local area – and the splendid seaside spot of Soulac-sur-Mer is a mere two kilometres from the park, so it's also easily bikeable.
The Médoc peninsula is perhaps most famed for its top-notch vineyards so you’ll be able to do a lot of wine sampling and vineyard touring while you’re here. One of the region’s best-known wineries, Château Lynch-Bages, is less than an hour’s drive from base for tastings and guided tours (advance bookings essential); Château Lanessan, 55 minutes' drive away, is also well worth checking out.
Depending on how far along the waterway you want to travel, you can take guided boat tours of the Gironde estuary and its islands from the ports of Pauillac, Blaye or Bordeaux, about an hour and three quarters away.

Balance refunds: no penalties
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.
Please note that your deposit is paid to Pitchup.com and is non-refundable.
Payment
A 15% non-refundable deposit is payable now.
The remainder is payable direct to Camping des Pins on arrival.
Tax
Local city tax of €0.61 (£0.54) per person per night at least age 18 is not included and must be paid on arrival.
