Sitting on the Dordogne riverbanks, Camping La Sagne is the ideal place to spend your summer holidays in a friendly atmosphere. The site offers its guests a traditional camping experience with spacious pitches supplied with electric and water hook-ups. On site, guests can take full advantage of the swimming pool (from April until the weather allows it), paddling pool and Jacuzzi corner.

The snack bar and meeting area are located in the refurbished farmhouse. The outdoor terrace is the ideal place to enjoy a cup of coffees or an icy drink. During high season, guests don't need to worry about food - the snack bar offers quick bites, the grocery shop has plenty of locally sourced produce and bread and croissants are delivered daily to the reception.

Rainy days are not an issue as kids can play board games while parents can choose a book from the library (with French, English and Dutch books available). Other leisure facilities include a tabel tennis, a playground for kids, a pétanque court.

Two toilet blocks are available on site, as well as laundry facilities.

On the A20, take the exit signposted Souillac and follow the directions to Sarlat, Carsac Aillac, Vitrac and finally Monfort.

From Périgeux, follow the directions to Les Eysies, Sarlat, Vitrac Port and finally towards Carsac/Monfort.

From Bergerac, follow the directions to Sarlat and then Beynac. Take the road to La Roque Gageac, then Vitrac Port and finally follow the directions to Carsac/Monfort.

Local attractions

At the heart of Périgord Noir, the site is a great base to start exploring the surrounding areas. A number of chateaux including the Castelnaud la Chapelle, Benac and Les Milandes, are within a short drive. Surrounding medieval villages include the famous Sarlat, La Roque Gageac, Domme or Rocamadour.

Nature lovers can't miss the caves in Lascaux, Maxenge, Domme, La Roque St Christophe and the famous Gouffre de Padirac. The Dordogne river is only a few steps away. Canoeing, kayaking, climbing, walking, cycling and horse riding are on offer in the nearby areas.

Gardens and parks such as Marqueyssac, Les Jardins d'eau, Manoir d'Erignac, local markets, restaurants and gastronomic treasures (truffles and fois gras among many) should not be forgotten.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Your dog must be tattooed and microchipped.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.

Reception is open from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm between 11/09 and 26/09.
Reception is open from 9am to 7pm between 01/07 and 31/08.

Open fires are prohibited.

Local eco/city tax of €0.55 per person over the age of 13 per night is not included and must be paid on arrival.

No vehicle movement between 11pm and 7am.
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
