Camping La Brugère is run by René and Lieke, who live and run a working farm with sheep, cows and crops as well as the campsite.

The surroundings are rural and very quiet and there's virtually no traffic (just other happy campers.)
During peak season in July and August there is a weekly barbecue for visitors who want to join in - just bring your meat, fish or vegetables. You can just enjoy, sit back or prepare your food. Outside the summer period barbecues are sometimes organized weekly, depending on number of campers and weather permitting.

The old cow shed has been turned into a multi-functional space where the owners sell bread and run a little bar with food such as pizzas from the wood-fire pizza oven, spit-roasted free-range chicken, fries, ice cream and drinks. On cold days a fire is lit, which makes it a cosy place where you can have a bite and a chat.

Towards the lower part of the grounds, there is a little lake with a fresh water creek replenishing it continuously. Sheep regularly roam the grounds, keeping the grass short and the ducks are fun for little children, who can give them some bread. There is also a forest within walking distance (1km) with lots of sports equipment

On-site there is a volleyball net and plenty of space for a game of football, badminton or lawn bowls.
At night-time in peak season, there is often a campfire around the shed and you can have a couple of drinks and play games.
