Posada del Parque is an eco-friendly, sustainable site on the estate of the Santa Adele de Dumuño in the region of Valparaíso, five kilometres (10 minutes' drive) north of the coastal city of Concón. Just off the F30E road that connects Concón with Quintero, it's easy accessible but has a quiet rural atmosphere for restful Chilean times – a big contrast with the city of Santiago, an hour and 50 minutes' drive away. The site is surrounded by wetlands, sclerophyllous forest, dunes and the coastline. For over 15 years, the team has been working on the restoration and conservation of these ecosystems and their biodiversity. You're in a tiptop position here for hikes among those varying landscapes, and it's also a fab place for spotting birds and other wildlife too: the site runs free birdwatching tours with expert guides as well as guided hikes. The on-site restaurant serves both Chilean and international dishes, or you can hire a barbecue to sort your own eats. After that, a communal firepit is lit nightly where guests and the site owners can gather round to have a glass or two of wine. Guests have access to all 99 acres on the park.

The surrounding Mantagua wetlands are prime turf for diehard twitchers and casual spotters alike, while the forested hills and craggy peaks of La Campana National Park, an hour's drive away, are a top destination for those seeking views and heights. More extreme diversions, from go-karting to paragliding and skydiving, can be found in Viña del Mar, half an hour away, while in Concón, 10 minutes away, you can hire boat trips to go wildlife spotting on the Aconcagua river. Whether you view the beach as somewhere to laze or get energetic on the waves, you've got plenty of options on this stretch of the coast: sandyachting, sea-fishing trips, sunbathing… take your pick at sandy spots like Quintero (20 minutes) and Viña del Mar. Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 4 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
