Lively, laidback and surrounded by lovely Ardennes landscapes, Verblijfpark Ardinam is an excellent family-friendly choice for days and nights spent in the countryside of southern Wallonia. Wondering what you can get up to around here? Take a peek at this place's facilities – there's an outdoor pool, a couple of play areas for the kids, a café, a bar and a laundry room, while under a kilometre away in the village of Olloy-sur-Viroin there's a bakery, a traditional charcuterie, a well-stocked food shop and a handful of cosy restaurants. This spacious 15-hectare site is surrounded by wooded hills, with plenty of wildlife and lots of areas that have been given over to nature. The local area has a decidedly rural flavour to it, with plenty of bike paths, walking routes and other rights of way that pass nearby natural landmarks like the Roche aux Faucons rocks and Fondry des Chiens, an enormous sinkhole that’s the only one of its kind in Belgium. Similarly interesting sights are on offer on the other side of the French border too (roughly 15 minutes' drive), making it easy to access a strikingly scenic stretch of the Meuse river that flows through France’s gorgeous Grand Est region.

Disliked Dat er niet of slecht engels gesproken werd. Communicatie verliep moeizaam...door taalbarriere.
Terwijl er op de site staat dat ze ook NL en Engels spreken.
Sanitair erg verouderd, geen toiletpapier, zeep. Niet meer van deze tijd...
Tentplekken op plateau's, zat je bovenop elkaar en steile opgang, geen trapje of iets dergelijks! Auto kan daar niet bij de tent voor uitladen.
Bij de receptie weten ze niet veel.
Mijn rekeningnummer gegeven voor teruggave borg, nog steeds niet ontvangen!

Liked Lovely quiet site, great pools.

Disliked We stayed on the hottest day of the year and there was no shade on our pitch. Other pitches were shaded, we should gave asked for a shaded pitch.

Verblijfpark Ardinam is located within the well-known Viroinval area, a collection of eight scenic villages that border the Viroin river. The local area has lots of sporty options for guests, including a riding stables (five minutes' drive), a range of fisheries (15 minutes) and, in the pretty riverside town of Revin (25 minutes), opportunities to hire top of the range electric bikes. Family-friendly days out in the vicinity area also easy to find – down the road in Treignes (10 minutes) there's a steam train museum with old locomotives on display, while heading out in the other direction will take you to subterranean safaris at the Grottes de Neptune caves (10 minutes), where there are informative guided tours and spectacular underground boat rides. Looking slightly further afield? You could spend time by the water at the L'Eau d'Heure lakes (30 minutes), where Natura Parc outdoor activity centre can sort your out with watersports or speedy zooms down zipwires. Other highlights in the region include Dinant (40 minutes), an attractive fortified town in the Belgian Ardennes set against a backdrop of steep cliffs. In the mood for more medieval castles? The commanding Citadel of Namur (an hour and 10 minutes), which has roots going back to the 10th century, is also worth the drive.
