Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked The area is lovely and there are great views from the site

Disliked The campsite itself was very rundown and shabby. It’s a shame as it could be lovely - but does need a significant amount of work.
Toilet and showers in a bad state of repair and unclean.

From the manager: dear sir,
thank you for your comment ; you put the hand exactly where it is interessant ...!
after a big , full and enthousiastic season , we have a lot of work , for improving , renovating and welcoming next customers for the next season ... if we do not begin the work before winter , where rain and/or snow is coming , we do not have enough time for the works... each year , the works are beginning in October , sorry for that ...
neverless we try not to disturb the users of the campsite and everyone is welcome all the year ... just a little bit comprehension from October till end April , we are working for YOU !
about sanitair/toilets/showers , we already have bought a new module , just near the playground ; on the site , they are different places for the sanitairs , so you can choose the best you prefer ! the new one will stay opened all the year !

regards, olivier CAPELLE, owner, making the best for YOU all, so we accept your comment but do not need this shame quotation level !

All that you need nothing you don’t.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Handy for coming off the main road. Very peaceful and quiet. Friendly owner and lovely local traditional site

Disliked Not a dislike, just my personal opinion, but the toilets weren’t the best. Fishy smell. No toilet roll or hand soap. Can’t comment on the showers as didn’t use it.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Close to Dinant, fairly quiet. Very friendly young man on reception on arrival.

Disliked Basic toilet facilities no toilet roll or handwash provided. When we asked about this they said they don't do that in Belgium, but all the other Belgian sites we stayed in did. Smallish pitch near the road, but not a busy road.

From the manager: hi dears,
I ve always said to the customers 'very disturbed' by the lack of toilet roll and/or handwash that we sell it at the office ; 0.5 € ...if too expansive for you , ask one and I ll give you for free ...
do not forget you have the possibility to choose your pitch by yourself , so do not claim about the size of the pitch ...you had choice enough and certainly at this season ...
regards, olivier CAPELLE

Would stay again, without doubt.

Local attractions

If you’re after more activity once you’ve warmed up on site, divert to Dinant Evasion (20 minutes’ drive), an adventure park with treetop trails, paintballing and kayaking, or aim for Yvoir Island (20 minutes) for waterskiing, swims and high-speed inflatable rides on the river. Cycle trips are a fine way to get out and about locally; if you fear going astray from your chosen route, banish any such possibilities by getting in the saddle at Les Draisines de Molignée (25 minutes), a velorail that runs along an abandoned railway line through the pretty Molignée valley. Another fab ride nearby is the cable car in Dinant (20 minutes), which glides up to its medieval fortress for some excellent views. Château de Vêves (15 minutes) is worth a stop if you like a handsome building, as is the slightly bonkers Grotte Saint Antoine De Padoue (10 minutes), an elaborate manmade rock church. Love the Belgian beers? See where some of them come from at Brasserie de Bocq brewery (10 minutes), where tours are signed off with samples to sip.
