Liked Showers and toilets were relatively clean.

Disliked The facilities are not as described on there listing. There is no chemical or waste disposal provided and campers were using the water point in stead with the overflow running onto the ground. May be suitable for a one night stop if you had to. Extremely run down site.

Liked Close to Pairi Daiza zoo!

Disliked Floor was very uneven, signage not the clearest in the dark. Couldn’t locate the toilet block. Felt very expensive in comparison to quality of stay. Also didn’t receive any information prior to our arrival.

I send to all my bookings till the end of august the check in information on 18/8. I sent out information to my last minute bookings.
If you make A last minute booking and you know you need a late arrival, don't hesitate on contacting us, to make sure you receive the information in time.

I will not change the nature of the campsite that a lot of people love on Google.
The pitch up guests are used to more facilities on the campsite. If you need this, please look for a different campsite. We are there for the guests who enjoy some wildcamping with basic facilities and no crowd.

Pulled in, there was a toxic waste bag left in car park at the entrance and in the camping field 200 fly's clung to the car so we left straight away.

From the manager: Our entrance and our exit are at the same gate. Therefore we have our containers at the exit indeed.
You came in yesterday with full containers after a busy weekend. On Wednesday they are emptied. I am depending on the services of our partner which is not everyday in our rural village.

The closest pitch of the campsite is on the other side of this huge building and is more then 100mtrs away.

Me the owner lives the closest to the entrance and I don't notice any flies the whole summer while having a meal outside.

I know we don't have a commercial campsite where we adapt nature to the campsite. We allow 10 places on 2 hectares of nature and you can look for the spot you like.
I know it's a love it or hate it concept for people who like wildcamping (not aloud in Belgium) with basic facilities. Thank you for your comment, and I'm sorry we couldn't fulfill your wishes.

Disliked The price! There was no area on the site which was flat. There was no reception and there was no one to greet you upon arrival. That would have been acceptable if we had been pre-warned but we were not. The signage at the entrance was too small to read and was torn. We drove past and so had to reverse a long caravan down a busy street. The grounds looked as if the site was disused until a walk proved otherwise. We never saw the owner. We just left a note with someone to pass on to say we had stayed. Other "inmates" told us what to do as there was no sign to direct campers as to where to pitch. This is not what we expect from a Pitch Up site and certainly not for the price we paid. We left a much cheaper site with far more facilities and with staff to help and talk to!
In the UK we would class this as a certified location site and the price would be at least half of what were charged. I realise Belgian is more expensive but it was advertised as having a bar and restaurant and we found neither of these.
Only one water tap was labelled as drinkable. The chemical disposal was not labelled. There was no site lighting so it was quite eerie in the evening. The grass did not appear to have been cut but we did note as we were leaving there was a gardener clearing a pathway to the main building.

I am sorry you didn't receive the instructions we usually send to our guest by email for the self check in, I understand this mus have been difficult. I am working on getting them into the pitch up system as I noticed it is possible. But we are new on the system.

Our concept is a nature campsite where we do not adapt nature to the campsite. We allow 10 places on 2 hectares of nature and you can look for the spot you like. It might be a bit more difficult to stand straight but it is definitely possible. So there is plenty of space to enjoy nature at its best.

Disliked Het is een groot knollenveld, niets is vlak! Het duurt een tijd voordat de caravan een beetje recht staat!! Matig sanitair, voor de douche twee trappen op, het water van andere douches komt over de vloer binnen!! Enkele scherpe tegels op de grond in een bocht waardoor je de banden zou kunnen vernielen!!

From the manager: Inderdaad de geschiedenis van het gebouw speelt een grote rol in hoe de camping is ingericht. We gebruiken de douches van de voormalige kampplaats.de douches zijn inderdaad op het eerste verdiep.

Ook voor de toiletten moet je drie tredes stijgen.

De campsite is een kleinschalig initiatief in de natuur, geen grote commerciële camping.
Dit is nooit onze intentie geweest en zal het ook nooit worden.

Liked The site itself is nice enough. Green space. Probably not bad if you have your own toilet/bathroom.

Disliked I'm not sure what we were paying for here - Belgium is more expensive but there was no toilet paper, no soap, no one there, no one reachable (for example when a smoke alarm went off for hours in the building next to it.
The spaces next to the electricity points were all taken and the building gives very haunted vibes.

The facilities are nothing fancy indeed. We want to attract lovers of nature.
