Vakantiepark Beachside

Liked Site is within walking distance to the town, across the road from the dunes and beach and there’s a tram stop just up the road.
The toilets and showers were clean.
I have ticked yes to stay again and recommend to a friend, on the basis, there’s not the music going on in the next field, (see my dislikes below)

Disliked I’m not sure if this happens every weekend, but there was a huge marquee set up in a field nearby and the music was non stop until 2 am on both Friday and Saturday nights. We are in a camper van so you’re virtually in a tent with the bed in the pop up roof and it was impossible to get off to sleep with the thumping bass of the music. There are only 2 showers and toilets, which based on the size of the site is not enough. They don’t use commercial toilet paper in the holders, just individual toilet rolls they put out on the side, which ran out on 2 of the 3 nights we were there. One time I went into the men’s toilet to pinch one of their spare rolls! After running out once, I went prepared with my own roll thereafter.
Some pitches are very small and difficult to find as they’re not all numbered. We were initially put on a pitch that was impossible to find and when we did eventually find it, it was very cramped and difficult to manoeuvre if all the other pitches had been in use. When we arrived in the evening we took the punt to switch to another pitch as the site was went full. We went to reception the next day to advise that we’d moved pitch and fortunately we had not taken anyone else’s. I was surprised to learn that they had charged us another €12.50 per night for this other pitch which I thought was expensive, especially as the site wasn’t full!

We are sorry that this caused you inconvenience, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. The additional charge you mention was not for changing your pitch, but for tourist taxes, environmental taxes and showers, as indicated on PitchUp. This must always be paid on site. We hope to welcome you back in the future in peaceful circumstances.

Pleasant walk through the dunes to the beach and sunset views
Close to 5min walk to tram stop and 25min walk to town - great location

Surrounded by other tents rather than motor homes
WiFi available for free

Disliked Basic facilities - no camp kitchen
Amenities block is located at the front of the property which is a walk from the tents it's (located at the near of the property)
Few trees - exposed in sun and close to neighbours

Liked Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber

Disliked Toiletten nur mit Zugangskarte, Duschen kostenpflichtig. Zu wenige Sanitäranlagen und Wasserzugang

Liked Quiet with good links to tourist attractions. Very clean

Liked Gute Lage und der Preis angemessen, schöne Umgebung. Unser Stellplatz war toll, genug Platz. Man geht sparsam mit Wasser um, da es kein Wasseranschluss oder Wasserkran am Stellplatz gibt.

Disliked Zu wenig Toiletten und Duschen. 2 jeweils bei so vielen Leuten zu wenig. Bei den Herren war es stets sehr voll. Auf dem Platz keine Müllbehälter, nur vorne am Parkplatz. Man braucht einen langen Kabel um den Anschluss zu nutzen(Kabeltrommel am besten)

Liked The receptionist was very helpful and spoke English so that was good. The pitch was big, with a car parking space opposite and close enough to retrieve belongings from the car. It was quite and peaceful. Very clean and the bathrooms were clean too. Free 5 minutes shower too. Well worth the money. Although I didn't get a chance to go, the beach was just a short walk over the road from the site.

Disliked There wasn't anything I didn't like to be honest

We arrived after reception closed but easy to proceed with our stay due to amazing staff

Disliked Nothing

Liked Het sanitair op de camping was modern en proper. De camperplaats op het grasveld was ruim. De camping is erg rustig gelegen. Mogelijkheid tot bestellen brood en koffiekoeken op de camping. Duinen en dijk meteen bereikbaar.

Disliked Er is de camping geen mogelijkheid om grijs water te lozen (mobilhome). Toilet kan wel geledigd worden.
