Local attractions

Adventure Domes Ecocamp Patagonia is the ideal starting point for enjoying the Argentine Patagonia and its nature. These are some of the walking routes that can be accessed from the site (guided tours can be arranged on site). The National Park Los Glaciares is a dream place and the habitat of Choiques (Rhea), condors and guanacos among other numerous native species that visitors will get a chance to see. Starting at Ecocamp, this trekking covers the southern portion of the Colonias Peninsula. The trail covers a little over 7.5 miles, where the Perito Moreno glacier hides among lakes and Nothofagus woods, in the whimsical undulated land created by glacial erosion. Native fauna, such as Magellanic woodpeckers, Austral parakeets and Magellan geese complete the sights. There are ideal spots for birdwatching, especially for black-necked swans, great bustards and lake ducks, among others. The final part of the trail offers great views of Cerro Buenos Aires, Moreno glacier and Cerro Cristal. The land within Cerro Moreno ranch is ideal for bike lovers. This undulated terrain, combined with the transition of woods to pasture lands, is the ideal backdrop for biking. The group's physical condition will be taken into account to decide whether to bike along the ranch´s old roads or to use the trails within the property. Cerro Moreno's ranch house is only 3 miles away from the Ecocamp. This is a truly an "endangered place" and you can meet Don Jorge, a rare breed of man, a combination of gaucho, mechanic, businessman and Patagonia's wild spirit.
