Newgale Campsite is praised for its stunning beachfront location and friendly staff. Facilities are generally clean, with the on-site bar and pizza van being popular additions. Some guests noted that pitches can be close together during busy periods and that Wi-Fi can be intermittent. The coastal location means it can be windy. Shower charges are mentioned by some guests.

From the manager: Hi Marcus,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our beachfront location and found the facilities to be mostly clean.
We're sorry to hear the Wi-Fi wasn't working during your stay. We understand how frustrating that can be, especially when it's an advertised service, and we'll continue working to ensure it's as reliable as possible.
Regarding the shower and toilet layout, we appreciate your feedback. Our facilities are designed to provide private shower rooms with a toilet and washbasin, which many guests appreciate, but we understand that different layouts suit different preferences.
Thank you again for your comments. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Newgale Campsite in the future.
Kindest regards,
Megan Harris
Brilliant stay!
Non-electric grass pitch (no pets)
Liked Brilliant stay, right on the beach! Friendly staff, superb when I needed help with first aid. Toilets were clean and tidy, showers were clean considering the amount of people using them. The pub was busy, but understandably and rightly so because the drinks were great and the live band were brilliant.
Disliked Only regret is staying for one night!!

Top site in a lovely setting
Electric grass pitch (medium)
Liked Easy to get into, check in, pitch good, nothing not to like, does what it says on the tin.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, only little gripe, didnt bother me that much, but if you rely on Internet for kids or work, I found it a bit intermittent, but it was free.

From the manager: Thankyou for your great feedback, we're glad you found checking in easy and liked our pitches. We know spotty internet can be frustrating and we are sorry for that, we are always looking at ways to improve it. we're glad you appreciated it being free though.

Housekeeping needs to be more frequent, cafe / bar needs to be better
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Great campsite, we've camped all over the UK and the location was perfect. Pizza was fantastic, very friendly staff.
Disliked Been to 100s of campsites across the UK over the years , far too over crowded in my opinion, trying to squeeze people into any tiny gap instead knowing when to draw the line of being too full. Lack of food and no desire to plan ahead with more food. Went down to the cafe / bar @ 9.45am to be told there was no food left , could have had a toastie or a sausage roll , some of the party had bacon rolls which the bread rolls were stale and rock solid and bacon beyond crispy , knowing it's half term and incredible weather you'd think they'd have more food at hand and a better attitude regarding the situation, running out of food and refusing to cook anymore bacon before 10am is ridiculous. Toilets / shower block not cleaned anywhere near enough throughout the day lots of people and families passing comment on how bad they were.

From the manager: Hi Sean,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We're really pleased to hear you enjoyed our beachfront location, thought the pizzas were fantastic and found our team to be friendly.
We're sorry that your experience wasn't consistently positive during your stay. The exceptionally hot weather over half term meant we were much busier than anticipated, and while that's no excuse, we appreciate that we didn't get everything right.
We've already reviewed our food ordering and preparation to help ensure we're better stocked during peak periods, and we've also increased the frequency of checks and cleaning in our toilet and shower facilities when the site is especially busy.
We genuinely value your comments, as they help us improve, and we hope you'll consider visiting us again in the future so we can provide the experience you were expecting.
Best wishes,
Clare Harris.

From the manager: Good morning Mark,
Thank you for your review. We're pleased you enjoyed the views.
We're sorry the windy weather affected your stay. As a coastal campsite overlooking Newgale Beach, we are naturally more exposed to the elements than inland sites, and unfortunately the weather is something we can't control. Many guests choose us specifically for our beachfront location and the spectacular scenery that comes with it.
Regarding the walk to the toilet and shower facilities, we're always happy to accommodate requests for pitches closer to the amenities whenever availability allows, so we would encourage guests to let us know if this is important to them when booking or checking in.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best with your future camping adventures.
Best Wishes,
Clare & Mike Harris.

Liked Location was fantastic,friendly staff
Disliked .20p per 2 min shower .
I have a campervan so have a shower just think it’s a bit mean when you pay £26 to park up then faffing around with pay machines for tokens in shower . My only gripe !

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our fantastic location and found our team to be friendly and welcoming.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the shower charge. We understand that it may not suit everyone's preference. We keep our showers at 20p for two minutes to help manage demand during our busiest periods, ensuring guests can access the facilities without long queues, while also encouraging responsible water and energy use.

Liked Lovely 2 night break , very friendly camp site, dog friendly and lovely walks on the beach that you can access over the pebbles. Strict with noise after 11pm and this was very much adhered to. Nice bistro on site and lovely selection of coffee . Live music on weekends , unfortunately I missed that as had to leave the Friday morning . Would return to this lovely camp site
