  • Peaceful campsite on Pembrokeshire's Dale Peninusla
  • A 200-metre walk from the coast path; Saint Ishmael's half a mile away
  • Working farm with livestock on site; a short walk to the village pub
Located in Pembrokeshire's gorgeous national park, Coast Path Camping is a peaceful West Wales site set on a working beef and sheep farm. This laidback spot is 200 metres from the coastal footpath that skirts Wales' entire coastline, making it a top pick for hikers. It's also mere metres from Lindsway beach, a secluded spot where Queen Elizabeth and her son King Charles picnicked in the 1950s. The Dale Peninsula has lots more coastal villages to explore, as well as lots of history – this stretch of the coast path has old forts, beacons and lighthouses to explore, as well as some truly spectacular views out to sea. Coast Path Camping is home to good amenities, including well-maintained toilets and showers. Well-behaved dogs are welcome here, but they'll need to be on leads at all times due to the goats, cattle and sheep on site. The campsite is located in a rural area, away from any busy roads and about half a mile from the pleasant village of Saint Ishmael's. In the village, stop off at The Brook Inn for evening drinks or a meal, or head over to the garden centre to see whether any fancy foliage is on offer.

Shepherd's hut

Liked: Lovely location. So much to see and do locally. Bring all your catering and cooking needs with you. Ideal for an upgrade on camping in a tent but no frills.

Disliked: No washing up area: this could be. Problem if you stay for a while.

From the manager: anonymous really I’ve had a bad review off someone that can’t even tell me who they are . How can I take this seriously. I’m sure you can only use one toilet at a time and I only shower in one at a time . They were clean and tidy . So not really sure what the problem was . There is an Elsan and there is hook ups I’m sure if you paid for one you got one . If I knew who you were I can check you paid for it . Really Pitch up you’re going to let this bring my overall score down . Someone who has not the bottle to leave their name .

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Small-sized campsite with excellent view and a very friendly host. The toilet block is impeccably clean.

Disliked: Nothing in fact, however the toilet facilities may be insufficient when the campsite is full - it wasn't when I visited so everything was perfect for me.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked: Absolutely fantastic place with stunning views. Phil was very welcoming and friendly. The toilets and shower were clean with hot water. A friendly and welcoming pub a short walk away. The weather was lovely which meant we could relax outside after a beautiful coastal walk easily accessed through the field. Ate lunch at the local garden centre which was very good. The people were so friendly in the local village.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike this farm is run by one of life’s true gents.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked: Cheap. Good location on coast path. Strangely beautiful view of oil refinery across the water. Friendly owner.

Disliked: Toilet block was pretty nasty. No evidence that it was cleaned at all during our stay (3 nights). Also, we paid for electric hookup but the only hookup point for tourers was already taken when we arrived.

From the manager: You got a hook up and the toilets are cleaned three times a day . I spoke with you and didn’t ever raise anything with me about nasty toilets. I see you left your review anonymously is that because you’re a serial complainer and this isn’t your first gripe. Next time you leave a poor review at least have the courage to leave your name that way others you stay with can see what sort of guest you are .

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked: Super adresse! Merci Phil!
