  • Friendly farm site just outside Cosheston with easy access from A477
  • Tenby, Saundersfoot and Barafundle Bay within 15 minutes' drive
  • Footpaths from site to villages, pubs, shops and Carew Castle
What a prime spot for pottering around Pembrokeshire – Lower Nash Farm is a pretty green space surrounded by gorgeous countryside but with easy access to all the area’s attractions (and there are many of them…) via a lane that links up to the A477. That means it’s splendidly straightforward to get out and about to the likes of Pembroke Castle, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Oakwood Theme Park or the beaches of Tenby and Saundersfoot – all can be reached with a drive of 15 minutes or less. On top of all that, you can also add to the list such things as walks on the Wales Coast Path, wildlife-spotting boat trips, adrenaline-fuelled days of coasteering and many other outdoor activities. Or perhaps you’d like to stay local – there are lots of local footpaths to wander along too: either down to the village of Cosheston (and its excellent pub) or over to Carew Castle. You can also walk to the village of Milton for a fine village shop that sells bread, local produce and milk on tap and serves up takeaway fish and chips. Back at base, facilities include bathrooms (opened for the 2021 season) with hot water included, a washing-up area and access to a fridge-freezer and charging points. Firepits and barbecues are welcome, as are well-behaved dogs (as long as they’re supervised and kept on leads).

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Quiet site with good facilities ie. Very clean toilets and showers and a washing up room with fridge freezer. Great location, near the A477 so easy access to all parts of Pembrokeshire. Tesco and Aldi just 5-10 mins away in Pembroke Dock. Dogs walks in adjacent fields had a great stay. Definitely come back.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Great location for nearby beautiful beaches, castles and other days out. A field with a couple of tree lined edges, if you can get the right pitch, lovely. An abundance of hot water for showers and washing up. Friendly and low key.

Disliked: Lack of fire pits. Very frustrating to have no fire on the first couple of nights of our stay, it looked like there were only about 3 pits available for the whole field. We only go to 'campfires allowed' campsites as this detail is very important to us. Although the toilet and shower facilities are good ones, busy times meant unnecessary queues as both the shower and toilet facilities are in together. The nearby road sounded a bit like a race track in the middle of the night, but this nearby road also made it very easy to get to places. If you sleep soundly it wouldn't be a problem.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Peaceful location, close to nature, simple, natural surroundings. Also very well located for day trips and for facilities like Co-op in Pembroke. Although near a major road, noise was generally fine.

Disliked: Insufficient bathroom facilities - may be fine during quieter periods, but we visited in August and often had to queue and given how busy it was. This also meant the facilities weren’t kept clean enough. I’d imagine at quieter times it would be fine, but only 3 combined wc/showers isn’t enough for this number of pitches.
