What customers say

Carn Springs is a beautifully maintained and peaceful campsite set around a lake, praised for its spacious and clean pitches, modern facilities, and exceptional staff. Visitors consistently highlight the warm welcome, with many receiving complimentary Welsh cakes and marshmallows. The location is considered excellent for exploring Tenby and Saundersfoot, though walking access to these towns is noted as difficult due to narrow roads. Some reviewers mentioned occasional noise from nearby roads or machinery, and a few experienced issues with Wi-Fi costs, waste disposal charges, or out-of-order tumble dryers. Despite these minor points, many guests express a strong desire to return.

Electric grass pitch (lake view)

Liked Fabulous site, extremely helpful staff, clean facilities, peaceful.

Disliked Slight issue, but not the site's fault at all (more so my bad planning!) the site was slightly further out from Tenby than I anticipated.

Electric grass pitch (lake view)

Liked Beautiful surroundings. Loved the lake view. Good size pitches.
Friendly welcome including delicious welsh cakes as a gift. All in all a great place to stay, easy to get to both Saunderfoot and Tenby, a few minutes drive. Not suitable to walk to as roads are narrow

Disliked Tractors and boy racers on road behind causes a bit of noise but shortlived in early evening

Electric grass pitch (lake view)

Liked Amazing shower ! Beautifully kept with a view of the lake...A couple of miles from Tenby and many other Theme parks and the wildlife park For us we wanted Sea and nice beaches. We had our paddle Boards and canoe. Barafundlle beach was a great find.Either a 20 min walk or paddle around from Stackpole.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Gorgeous site, can see how well it’s maintained, very spacious pitches. Very warm welcome when we checked in and got taken to our pitch, and got given some complementary snacks. The facilities on the site are very modern and clean. Plenty of room and never felt crowded. Had a lovely day out in Tenby whilst we were there. No doubt we will be back again very soon

Disliked Nothing, beautiful weekend

Electric grass pitch (lake view)

Liked This was our very first time camping - but we have been staying in and around Saundersfoot for almost 30 years so know the area really well. Having passed by Carn Springs many times whilst on holiday and thought what a lovely place it looked, it only seemed right that we should embark on our new camping adventures here. On our arrival (Friday of May Half Term) Linda showed us to our pitch which was right by the lake, where to leave or rubbish (all recycled) and where the nearest loo/shower block was located (nice and close but not too close). The block offered several cubicles with a loo, shower and wash basin altogether which was much appreciated and always clean during our stay. Everyone visiting (a mix of older couples and young families plus some well behaved dogs) seemed friendly and considerate which we really appreciated as we had read many horror stories (not about Carn Springs but camping in general) about disturbed nights, loud music and so naturally we were a little nervous. We need not have been. Linda came round to check on us each evening (armed with enormous marshmallows) and asked if we needed anything. She could not have been more helpful. We also noticed that she was not afraid to remind people of the rules (drive no faster than 5mph onsite/no fishing in the lake etc) and she did so kindly. Our pitch was even and faced the lake catching the sunshine all day (when it appeared). You need to know that there is virtually no wi-fi here and no facilities for children. Both of these aspects were a plus for us and it was refreshing to watch children happily making their own fun, connecting with family and nature - surely what camping is all about. When it was time to leave (Monday), we realised it hadn't only been us camping in the tent, but a hole host of tiny frogs that had made their way from the lake and got between the footprint and the base of the tent where it was dark and damp! Thankfully none made their way home with us. Lucky them - they get to stay at Carn Springs.

Disliked .....nothing about the site. The road that runs past Carn Springs has always been a quiet country road, but it is now used as a cut-through between two main roads and can sometimes be noisy. This is no fault of the site and is just indicative of the increase in road traffic and inconsiderate drivers.
