  • Family-friendly farm site on the coast path two miles from Tenby
  • By a secluded cove 15 minutes' walk or 5 minutes' drive from the beach
  • Toilets, hot showers, farm shop, café, living room and hammock
Welsh coast – check. Pembrokeshire and Tenby coasts – check and check. And the isolated little cove of Becks Bay, home to this fab and friendly site on a Pembrokeshire farm – check this one off your Welsh holiday list by booking a stay at Becks Bay Camping. Set just back from the coast, Becks Bay Camping is in green, open and scenic space on part of Bubbleton Farm, a couple of miles from Tenby. It's a relaxed place where campfires and roaming around outdoors are both firmly encouraged, and where kids are welcome to meet and feed the farm animals. As it's Pembrokeshire, famed beaches are all around… It's a 15-minute walk to the sands of Lydstep from here, half an hour's amble – or 10 minutes by car – to Tenby South beach, and 10 minutes' drive to more sands at Saundersfoot, all part of a round dozen spectacular beaches within a 15-minute drive. If your foodie vibes just tingled at the word 'farm', you'll no doubt be pleased to hear there's a farm shop here too. Amble across the fields from the site to reach the Bubbleton Farm shop and café, both laden with fresh local Pembrokeshire produce to have there or take away, indoors or out, while the kids entertain themselves feeding the hens and sheep. Also at your disposal are toilets, two hot showers, a living room and – Pembrokeshire bay bliss – a hammock to laze in amid this stunning setting.

What customers say

This is a highly recommended, eco-friendly campsite with a fantastic location directly on the Pembrokeshire coast path, offering easy access to Tenby and beautiful walks. Visitors praise the spacious, well-maintained pitches, clean facilities including hot solar showers, and the friendly, helpful owner, Tom. The on-site farm shop and cafe are a significant bonus, providing excellent food. While some mention proximity to a road and train line, most find the site peaceful and charming, with very little to dislike.

Bell tent

Liked We had an amazing time at Becks Bay Camping this summer! As a group of under-18s, none of us could drive so Penally train station was the perfect way to get to the campsite without needing a lift or anything. We definitely should have ordered a taxi for the 5 minute journey from the station to the campsite though because the road that google maps takes you down was not safe to walk on. This is what we did on the way home and it was perfectly cheap (£10 between the 4 of us).
So many campsites didn't let us stay because of our age but, when I emailed Tom at Becks Bay, he was really flexible, friendly and helpful with what we needed. We stayed in a Bell Tent which was the perfect balance between camping and glamping, because we couldn't carry tents with us on the train. The Bell Tents were spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. They got a bit cold at night but we all had warm clothes and there are plenty of spare blankets provided in the tents so this wasn't a problem.
We used the kitchen facilities, BBQ and pizza oven and had everything we needed. The showers and toilets were also good, with (almost) entirely reliable hot water, soap and loo roll all stocked and checked.
There was no WiFi at the tents but there was at the nearby farm shop. There was also signal for all of us at the tent so we had no issues. It was nice to switch off from technology for a bit so we didn't mind.
The walk to Tenby was beautiful: it took us 2 hours the first time we did it because the Pembrokeshire coast path was so stunning and we stopped for lots of photos of the views but, the next times we did it it was more like an hour over very easy land to walk on and navigate.
Tenby itself is a really nice town with lots of independent shops to browse; historic buildings with an old 13th century castle wall; and huge beautiful beaches, which, although busy, had plenty of space so didn't feel crowded.
Becks Bay was perfect for us, location and facility-wise and was a generally friendly and welcoming place to be.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Lovely, quiet & peaceful campsite. We loved it. Walked to Tenby along the coastal path which was beautiful- probably took around 1hr 15 mins but well worth it ( I was a bit slow due to recovering from an op on my foot). Got the bus back no problem. Great location, lovely chilled out campsite. We moved on to another campsite and wished we had stayed at Becks Bay we will 💯 come back thank you

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked The cleanliness of the entire site, scenery, and the showers and facilities were genuinely amazing - Would return purely for the shower.

Disliked The train line is nearby and overlooks the site, but not a huge problem if you position the tent opening away from the hills and towards the cliffs.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Very peaceful lovely site with not a lot on.
Nice walks along the coastline into Tenby and Lyndstep.
Toilet block is basic but very clean.
The site also has a farm shop that does hot and cold food and drinks, we had a lovely breakfast from there.
Each pitch has a fire pit allocated for you to enjoy that smell of smoke and to cook the marshmallows on.

Local attractions

Beaches, castles, coasteering, climbing, abseiling and of course Pembrokeshire surfing are among the top pursuits around the farm, along with fab family days at the likes of Folly Farm 15 minutes' drive away. The closest beach is the sand and pebble stretch of Lydstep, just over a mile away; hail the bus from the stop a few minutes from the farm if you're not up for the walk or drive. From Lydstep, it's another mile or so to the award-winning Tenby South beach and its mile and a half of sand backed by dunes. A wander around town is recommended too, for shops, restaurants, pubs and the tourist information centre. There's a huge pick of family-friendly attractions in Pembrokeshire if you're here with kids (and if you can prise them away from the beach), starting with the rides, maze and indoor and outdoor amusements of Heatherton World of Activities, under 10 minutes away at Tenby. The country's biggest theme park, Oakwood, and the Bluestone Adventure Centre are both 25 minutes' drive away at Narberth, and quad biking is 10 minutes away at Ritec Valley.
