  • Whitesands Camping® is the only campsite next to Whitesands beach.
  • Laid back atmosphere for families, surfers and groups.
  • Newly built shower and toilet facilities (August 2020).
Situated right next to the Blue Flag beach of Whitesands, one of the best surfing beaches in the country, with a mile of sand providing enough room for all sorts of enjoyment. Whitesands Camping® is the only campsite next to Whitesands beach. We have welcomed campers here since the 1930s, with generations of families returning year after year. The site has a laid back and relaxed atmosphere: no need to book in advance (we don't operate a booking system), just turn up and check in with the site office to confirm your stay and to obtain shower tokens. In August the main site (30 pitches) expands to include an additional 13 acres of rolling fields that provide breathtaking views over Whitesands Bay, Ramsey Island, and the Atlantic beyond. Enjoy a Whitesands sunset from this prime position; look down on the waves and choose the best day to surf; see how busy the rock pools are; or make the most of the farm fields and have a game of cricket of football. A brand new shower and toilet block was opened in August 2020. This has hot showers (five), toilets (6 plus urinal), an outside wash-down shower, fourteen hookups (on the main site), and water taps dotted about the place. Prices (2021): adults (16 years+)£10 per night; 4 years+ £5; under 3s foc. We welcome dogs: £2 per night. Card payments are preferred (though cash is accepted). Tents, trailer tents, campervans (such as VW T5) and smaller sized motorhomes are welcome. Sorry, we do not have pitches for caravans or very large motorhomes ('A' class and RV). There is a Beach Cafe and Shop next to the site which is open for most of the year; a surf school is based on the site in August; deck chairs and wind shelters are on hire at the beach slipway. The "Coaster" bus travels back and fore to St Davids every half hour during the summer months (May to September); and the beach is manned by RNLI Lifeguards over the same period. So, if you want a relaxed tent site with plenty of space, situated next to a stunning beach, then this must be the choice for you!
