  • Single bell tent at an exclusive-use site five minutes from Narberth
  • A 10-minute drive to Amroth beach, Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park
  • Wildlife haven with woodland trail and gorgeous rural views
Highfields Pop-Up Campsite is a Pembrokeshire site located at the top of Blaengwaith-Noah Woods – and it’s something of a wildlife haven, surrounded by open farmland with access to ponds and a brook too. And there’s a bonus for all those seeking proper rural peace: book this lovely spot and you’ll get it all to yourselves: that’s right, there’s just the one tent here. The bell tent is pitched in open countryside with gorgeous mountain views – you’ll be able to admire them from the tent as you eat breakfast, or from the lookout platform above the ponds (also a good place for spotting otters). You won’t have the place entirely to yourselves, it should be said: other visitors include wild ducks, grey herons and kingfishers. Spot them as you walk along the site’s woodland trail past waterfalls and to the pond. Once you’ve had your fill of nature on site, set out to see what else the area has to offer: this location is well situated for all sorts of Pembrokeshire outings, including beaches, historic towns and theme parks (all within a few minutes’ drive). If you’d like to eat out or shop, Narberth (five minutes’ drive) or Saundersfoot (20 minutes) are good picks. Back on site, the bell tent is geared up for two, with a double mattress and all bedding provided, plus a sofa (positioned to take in the mountain vistas), and a table and chairs for indoor or outdoor use. Facilities are on the basic side to help the place blend with the surroundings – you’ll have running water at the top of the woods, and an eco-friendly portable dry toilet hidden behind your tent which utilises biodegradable liners with sawdust so all waste is compostable.
