Simply Camping Pembrokeshire: Amroth waterfront

General

  • Pembrokeshire dog-friendly family farm site two miles from the beach
  • A five-minute drive to Amroth beach; 10 minutes to Saundersfoot beach
  • Fresh milk and milkshakes on site; pub and restaurants walkable

Making way to Pembrokeshire for its castles, sandy coast or family-friendly theme parks? Simply Camping Pembrokeshire is a dog-friendly family farm site two miles from the coast, where your neighbours will be of the animal kind, including sheep and Wagyu cattle. So settle in, muck into the large field and make your way to Amroth beach, five minutes’ drive away and a rather nice spot to try out your canoeing, sea angling or sailing skills.

Here, you may get your hands on milkshakes made up with milk fresh from the farm. These are up for grabs, along with fresh milk by the bottle, in the on-farm vending machine, just a short walk away with the pitches. You can also buy breakfast rolls, tea and coffee most mornings.

You may want to sit back with your milkshake and admire the sea in the distance – the site has views over Tenby and Caldey and, of course, all the rural scenery you’d expect surrounding a farm.

When you’re ready to tend to your tummy some more, with a meal out perhaps, the local pub and restaurant are within walking distance and there are more restaurants, cafés and pubs within five minutes’ drive of the site, including several right beside the sea so you may have sea views as a side dish.

Facilities on the site are quite basic, including toilets, a shower and access to mains water. The pitches are in a large field, but there’s a separate field for kids to safely burn off any extra energy they have going.

Please note

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.

Minimum spacing of 2 metres between pitches.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

It was easy to find and offered a good base for travelling around and seeing the sights. There was a breakfast van on site in the mornings which was brilliant and gave good quality and value. The site was large and offered plenty of space. The veiw from the campsite was stunning. In a time when money has been a struggle for everyone, this offered good value, making a much needed getaway affordable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site and hope that they open next year aswell, as I would definitely re-book.

Location, friendly farmer, farmer's mother assisting at the milk vending spot. Fresh milk at a very good price. Lovely milkshakes. Breakfast van in the morning.

    Disliked:

Toilets were not suitable. Only 1 shower for each gender. I understand that this farm had just started this business and did not expect so many people. However, there must be better portaloos.

This was our first time camping as a family and couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay. Nick (the owner) and his mother were both very happy and helpful at all times.

The site is Basic but the Clue is in the name ‘Simply’ camping! It has Porter loos, fresh water and warm Showers. Breakfast Van turns up most mornings, which is a nice touch. Fresh Milk and Milkshakes available at the main Farm yard from vending machine. What more do you need??!!

Lots of people with negative comments but we just didn’t get it… honestly this is a lovely site, well located with great views. Great pubs with stunning views is Amroth and Wiseman Bridge (2miles away).

We were unsure about our first camping trip with young children but after 3 brilliant nights, we are now camping converts, which is down to this Simply Camping, thanks Nick and team.

    See you next year!

Field large sized, local beaches and walks nearby

    Disliked:

Portacabin toilets which isn't that bad but the smell was horrendous, as a family camping area, there was a large group of approx 25 people blasting music/singing into early hours of the morning 3am onwards on both nights, I did not get alot of sleep. And trying to find info on how to find the owner to pay the reminder of booking was none existing.

This campsite has potential to be alot better with the extra features if worked on, but unfortunately due to the way it is now and the loud music being blasted on a family campsite, I would not return and be very willing to pay the extra for somewhere else.
