  • Peaceful pods on a four-acre Carmarthenshire smallholding
  • A 10-minute drive to the coast; 20 minutes to Tenby or Saundersfoot
  • Firepit, ensuite bathroom, picnic table and kitchenette for each pod
Green indeed is the area around Green Valley Glamping – this Carmarthenshire glampsite has been set up on a four-acre smallholding in a quiet tree-lined valley about 10 minutes’ drive from St Clears. The peaceful, private pods here are easily accessed from the main road (a few minutes’ drive away) but the atmosphere on site is one of somewhere much more remote: this is a place where you’ll drift off to the gentle sound of the nearby river and wake up as the dawn chorus gets going. The countryside is really rather gorgeous around here – and so is the coastline, as you’ll be able to see for yourselves with a quick 10-minute drive to Amroth or Pendine, or 20 minutes to Tenby and Saundersfoot. Both of those seaside villages have pubs to visit, and there are more places to eat around St Clears too. The closest eatery is the Sporting Chance pub, a mile away from site (call ahead to check opening hours and make a booking). Alternatively, scoop up supplies at the shops in St Clears or Carmarthen (15 minutes’ drive) for a picnic back at base – you’ll be provided with a firepit, lanterns and picnic table so you can stay comfy and warm as you snack and sip wine while the sun sets. Inside the pod is a little kitchen corner (with fridge, kettle and toaster) to make breakfasts easy; there’s also a double bed (made up for your arrival), an ensuite bathroom and an electric heater.
