  • Self-catering glamping pods in the Brecon Beacons National Park
  • Llandeilo and Carreg Cennen Castle within half an hour's drive
  • Hot tub, barbecue and private bathroom for each pod
Brecon Beacons walks by day, followed by a night in a cosy and quiet wooden pod… could it get much better? Well, actually it could – because each of the units at Glamping Pods Wales also comes with its own private hot tub just outside… That means you’ll have a whole host of ways to soak up the stunning scenery when you stay here, whether you head out for a hike or stay put for a sunset barbecue and an evening in the bubbles. The stone barbecue is provided too, so you’ll just need to bring along the supplies if going for that option (shops in Llangadog, Llandovery or Llandeilo should be able to provide all of that…) If you are indeed heading out for a walk, this is a good place to do it from – this western side of the national park has plenty of quieter trails to follow, but it’s also within easy reach of favourite spots including Llyn y Fan Fach and Carreg Cennen Castle. As an added bonus, there’s a red kite feeding station about a mile and a half away where you can see the magnificent birds up close. The site’s own scenery is rather lovely too: you’ll be surrounded by flower beds and mature trees (including a 100-year-old Scots pine), with countryside views all around and dark starry skies overhead by night. It’s all very peaceful and far from passing traffic but it’s worth remembering that, as the pods are part of a working farm, you’ll need to keep an eye on the kids at all times. Pods here are comfy and well equipped – each one has its own kitchen, dining area and bathroom with toilet and shower.

What customers say

Visitors consistently praise the clean, well-equipped pods and the luxurious hot tubs, often highlighting the stunning views and peaceful countryside setting. The friendly and welcoming owners, along with the farm dogs, also receive frequent positive mentions. The pods are described as cosy, warm, and offering a high standard of glamping. A minor concern raised by some was the presence of wasps and inconsistent Wi-Fi connection.

Liked Hot tub great addition Shame abt the wasps as they were everywhere

Disliked There were 2 wasps nests by the entrance by the door to the pod , which progressively got worse, which ment we had to abandon the pod and pay for a hotel , we did mention the wasps on the first day to the nice gentleman that came and greeted us but unfortunately nothing was done about these, and it got worse so we had to move as holidaying with wasps is not great ...we unfortunately have not rated this lovely accommodation high because of the wasps they ruined our holiday which could of been easily resolved by owners

Pine 1 bedroom camping pod (four person)

Liked Absolutely gorgeous cabin and views, so peaceful here, the owners are such lovely people welcomed us and even let us feed the newborn lambs!! Anything you would need was in the cabin along with a file that had any information you would need right down to local restaurants and activities even manuals on how to use everything in the cabin! The hot tub was amazing and we took full advantage of using it as much as we could! The bed was so comfortable me and my partner haven’t slept so well in months (first break from our 8 month old baby) so it was absolutely needed! We couldn’t recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be back. Exactly what you want when having a peaceful break away especially from the city life we are used to.

Pine 1 bedroom camping pod (four person)

Liked Beautiful scenery in a quiet, peaceful location with lots of wildlife and amazing walks nearby. You can really get a strong sense of escapism whilst still having a comfy base camp.

Comfy warm clean pods with lots of space (family of 4 had plenty of room). Self catering camping but the pods came equipped with Wifi 2 tvs oven hobs toastie machine all pots pans, charcoal for the bbq, tea coffee sugar and Welsh cakes (yum!) extra bedding towels and the pods own hot tub (no sharing required)... this amazed me because we have stayed at sites with none of this level of service offered here. All whilst the owners still managed and ran a farm!
These pods have really set the standards high on what glamping should be.

The owners are friendly and welcoming along with frequent and pleasent visits from the dogs. But we never felt intruded or hassled. All round amazing experiance and we can't wait to return.

Disliked Nothing. Absolutely nothing to dislike. If being in a quiet countryside in a luxurious pod is your interest how could there be?

Oak View 1 bedroom camping pod (two person)

Liked clean, extremely well equipped.

Disliked bed was too soft, we like exploring towns so it’s location was just a bit too far out for us. but perfect if you want to just stay and relax at the pod. wi fi was poor, we connected to the other pods and was better than our own.

Local attractions

Make sure your walking boots are in good condition before you head here – they’re likely to see many miles as you tackle the scenic trails around places like Usk Reservoir (20 minutes’ drive) and Llyn y Fan Fach (half an hour). Fancy exploring in a different way? Head out on horseback with Beacons Equestrian (35 minutes). This part of Wales is well supplied with castles – a couple of particular favourites are hilltop Carreg Cennen (half an hour) and riverside Dinefwr Castle (35 minutes). The latter also combines nicely with a walk from Llandeilo (25 minutes), a pretty town with several places to eat. Keep an eye out overhead as you walk, because there are often big birds to be seen. If you’re not lucky enough to spot them in the wild, or you’d like a closer look, stop by at Red Kite Feeding Station Llanddeusant (five minutes).
