Better hurry along to Gateway Resort, where those stunning views paired with a delightfully long list of facilities for all ages and weather conditions… On those days where the sun decides to shine, take your bicycle for a ride along the Millennium Coastal Path directly accessible from the site. There's a funfair, crazy golf and a fishing lake to fill more outdoor hours, or you might fancy going for a run around the park instead. And on those rainier days, there's still plenty to do, whether it's taking a dip at the heated indoor pool, running off to the soft play area or trying your luck in the arcades. Entertainment's also on hand to fill the hours, with live acts, themed weekends, bingo and a kids' club. A cosy bar-restaurant is also open all day for breakfasts, snacks, pub grub and an extensive range of drinks; it’s also the place to gather round the large-screen TVs when there’s a big match on (especially if it’s Welsh rugby). And just what is the Gateway Resort the gateway to? Well, a good many things indeed – gorgeous beaches, a seaside cycle path, a castle, adrenaline-fuelled activities and farm parks are all within a short drive.

Local attractions

Bag a berth here and you’ll be within easy reach of some of Wales’ finest beaches – the gorgeous eight-mile stretch of sand at Cefn Sidan is about half an hour away by car, and you can get over to the Gower peninsula easily too (Rhossili Bay, 45 minutes away, is frequently voted one of the world’s best beaches). If you like to get active, hit the traffic-free cycle path for several miles through the Millennium Coastal Park, swing clubs at the golf course five minutes’ drive away or head to Pembrey Country Park (half an hour away) for horse riding, sand yachting, dry slope skiing and a toboggan run. Those who prefer to spectate may want to see if there’s a rugby match on at Llanelli’s Parc y Scarlets. For a family-friendly day out, the Llanelli Wetlands Centre is a few minutes’ drive away, and Kidwelly Castle can be reached in half an hour or so. Heatherton World of Activities, Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo and Manor Wildlife Park are all around an hour’s drive away.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

If the reception is closed on arrival, please check in at the Bar.
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 3 day(s) before your arrival.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m..
The fishing lakes are stocked with Gudgeon (the native variety), Tench, Rudd & Golden Rudd.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Hired accommodation

No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of £25.00 will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Pitches: a £5.00 deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 01/01 and 31/12.
Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Open fires are prohibited.
Please do not touch or feed the animals.
Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
