When you’re after a peaceful West Wales family-run site with big skies and spectacular views, Parc Newydd Campsite has both in spades. About five minutes’ drive from the Carmarthenshire coastal village of Ferryside and its handy shops and inviting pubs, this site is all about relaxation and nature. Set in a spacious grassy field with extra-large pitches surrounded by countryside, Parc Newydd is a pop-up with a wild camping vibe. The roster of amenities includes running water, a washing-up sink, a compost toilet, a cold-water shower and a chemical disposal point – just the essentials so you can experience the simplicity of off-grid camping. Please note that means cold showers and no electricity – the trade-off being a wonderful opportunity to slow down and switch off for a while. Bring the kids – there’s loads to keep them entertained hereabouts, from beaches (five minutes’ drive) to dry ski slopes (20 minutes) and family theme parks (50 minutes). Bring any family dogs too, as they can stretch their paws on the camping field or numerous other local walks – including the Wales Coast Path, which runs through Ferryside.

  • For licensing reasons, you must be a member to stay at this campsite. After booking, you will be granted free membership of this campsite's exempt organisation, who may contact you to finalise registration.
  • Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Dogs

  • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
  • Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

  • Please note that the toilet facilities are unisex.

Liked Peaceful, gorgeous views, amazing sunset. Off-grid and simple, so make sure you've got everything before settling in. Stacks of space, so you don't feel hemmed in at all.
