Pitches with far-reaching views

  • Quiet Carmarthenshire pop-up site five minutes’ drive from Ferryside
  • Kidwelly Castle 10 minutes’ drive; Pembrey Country Park 20 minutes
  • Best for off-grid setups; shops and cosy pubs five minutes’ drive
When you’re after a peaceful West Wales family-run site with big skies and spectacular views, Parc Newydd Campsite has both in spades. About five minutes’ drive from the Carmarthenshire coastal village of Ferryside and its handy shops and inviting pubs, this site is all about relaxation and nature. Set in a spacious grassy field with extra-large pitches surrounded by countryside, Parc Newydd is a pop-up with a wild camping vibe. The roster of amenities includes running water, washing-up sinks, a compost toilet and a chemical disposal point – just the essentials so you can experience the simplicity of off-grid camping. Please note that means no showers or electricity, so come prepared. Bring the kids – there’s loads to keep them entertained hereabouts, from beaches (five minutes’ drive) to dry ski slopes (20 minutes) and family theme parks (50 minutes). Bring any family dogs too, as they can stretch their paws on the camping field or numerous other local walks – including the Wales Coast Path, which runs through Ferryside.

Liked great campsite, quiet and relaxing for a few nights away, stunning views across the countryside. owner was very accommodating and friendly, facilities were basic as expected but kept hygienic and clean. only 5 minutes down the road to a nice village with a supermarket, pub, coffee shop, fish and chip bar which is very convenient. 10/10 thank you!!

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Absolutely pitch perfect!

The site owner was friendly and available to contact by phone if necessary. The facilities - one compost toilet, cold shower and washing up sink - whilst basic (which was expected) were clean and well maintained. The pitches are huge and pretty level. The view was amazing, the peace and tranquility were just what I needed for a few days.
