Bannau View bell tent

Liked: Stunning views that took our breath away! The bell tent is warm, clean, comfortable and finished to high standards. Little surprises that made our trip special which include an external kitchen, daisy shower and outside fire pit. We would highly recommend as nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The breakfast pack with fresh homemade bread was amazing. We hope to be back to see you very soon.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike - we loved it!

Local attractions

Edged to the south by the River Towy, National Trust - Dinefwr (10 minutes’ drive) includes the ruins of a hilltop 12th-century fortress; elegant Newton House, first built in the 1660s, then reworked in the Victorian era with neo-Gothic elements; and a vast area of parkland that’s home to a herd of deer. The National Botanic Garden of Wales (20 minutes) is known for its Great Glasshouse, which displays plants from Australia, California and other far-flung corners of the world. There are more exotic offerings in the Tropical House, while the Japanese Garden has peaceful ponds and cherry trees. Within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (55 minutes) is home to a network of caverns and underground passages. One of the highlights is the Cathedral Cave, a remarkable (and atmospherically illuminated) chamber with stalactites and waterfalls.
