Liked: The vibe was great! A quiet field surrounded by dogs, goats, alpacas, water buffalo, chickens and ducks is honestly our idea of heaven. We had such a lovely stay and the hosts were so friendly and kind! The area is stunning - the forests are absolutely mind blowing. We also loved the farm shop! Had so many cool crafty things in as well as buffalo sausages which we thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you for having us we had the best stay!

Liked: Friendly owner
Disliked: When we arrived, we were told we couldn't stay in our vans and were told it's written in the description/rules. I've since had another look at the description and rules and I still cannot find it. The owner did offer for us to stay on the drive but there were cement mixers and concrete blocks stored there and it was a bit like staying on a building site so we opted to go elsewhere.

From the manager: Our listing is for a none electric grass pitch the symbol of a tent which you have to select when booking, the symbols for yurts camper vans caravans are not available for selection as we do not provide facilities for those, So yes camping is in a field which is across another field and due to the weather which we have no control over access is wet and muddy and not suitable for vehicles. Yes to the side of our drive we have building supplies as we are doing work to our house. Sorry our grass camping pitch area did not reach your expectations, when I came out later as I had found somewhere else for you to park up on hard standing you had gone. I would suggest when booking a grass camping pitch you make contact and check in advance that a field is suitable for your van. Take care and happy motorhoming.

Liked: The campsite was peaceful and quiet. Beautiful countryside surrounding it. Lots of lovely animals on the farm. Martin and Dawn are welcoming and so helpful, going beyond what you’d usually expect from a campsite. We will definitely return.
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The host were really welcoming and invited us to walk around their farm with them to meet the animals, it also had a little farm shop on site. Its set back from tourist attractions so really nice and quiet for the family to play during the day and sleep peacefully at night but the main road isn't too far for out and about stuff. There's a compost loo on site it's brans new so really clean and sanitiser is provided and they provided us with a fire for the evening
