Electric grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked: Absolutely beautiful views. The host were so kind to everyone and went out of their way to make conversation with everyone at the site. Great entertainment. Everything including the toilet and shower block were spotless. A venue for adults and children, we will definitely be returning.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike about this place!

Electric grass pitch (adults only)

Liked: We have just returned from a really nice weekend here, the site is very well maintained, clean & tidy. The facilities are great, there is only one shower in each side but its a proper one and the owners respectfully ask you to only take 10 mins, this wasn't an issue as the site wasn't busy. I was concerned about no hot water in the washing up area but there is a kettle along with a toaster and microwave plus an honesty box for eggs, milk and other bits. There is no general waste (I think they charge for it) so make sure you take a bag with you but there is recycling and dog poop bin. There was live music on the Saturday in the bar area which is really nice opens after 17:00, they brew their own beer which we purchased a few bottles to bring home. The pub is also within 5 mins walking distance. I cant rate on the child friendly as we chose adults only area. There wasnt any wi-fi but there is good 4G coverage. There are nice walks around, we took our dog and walked the coast path to the beach but did get the bus back. We highly recommend this site, the owners cant do enough for you. We will defo be back the view is stunning. Thank you for having us see you soon.

Electric grass pitch (adults only)

Liked: Such a gem of a site! Sian was very friendly and game to greet us when we arrived which was a lovely touch. She gave us recommendations for local walks and attractions too. The site is really peaceful with wonderful views and is nice a quiet at night. The facilities are nice and clean and well stocked and there’s a nice communal kitchen/washing space with the option to buy farm fresh eggs. The bar area looks amazing and the beers there are lovely and local - the bar wasn’t open during our stay but Sian let us buy a couple of beers to enjoy in the van.

Disliked: There’s no general waste bins on site meaning you have to take your rubbish with you. This is by no means a deal breaker though as the site is gorgeous and there are recycling and dog waste bins. The bar only being fully open at the weekend is a shame but I understand why, we’ll just have to come at the weekend next time!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (adults only)

Liked: Clean facilities that were available friendly owners and staff. This site is a little gem, wonderful views of the laugharne estuary, very neatly kept pitched

Disliked: Without a means of transport, there are little facilities and shops, the site does not stock bread, milk etc. a bus does run passed the site though

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for the review! We do try to stock eggs/milk in our kitchen area but alas fresh bread is tricky!

Local attractions

While Laugharne’s visible from the park, it’s a 25-minute drive away around the estuary to this pretty village famed for its castle and poet Dylan Thomas’ writing shed. For more of the area's history, National Trust attractions further away – like the Roman-era Dolaucothi Gold Mines (an hour’s drive) and the handsome house and park at Dinefwr (50 minutes) – should also feature on your to-do list. Also inland are many adventures, including the mountain biking trails of Brechfa Forest (55 minutes); swing back to the seaside and cycle more sedately along the Millennium Coastal Path if thrill-seeking on two wheels sounds a little bit too much for your tastes. Of course, you’re also never far from the coast in this part of Wales… Pembrey Country Park’s miles and miles of sandy beach are a 45-minute drive away, and the shorelines of the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire are also less than an hour away.
