General

  • Refurbished park with a friendly welcome
  • Family-friendly bar with beer garden
  • Pool and play area

Plenty of space, refurbished facilities, a warm welcome, a bar and a pool – one can't say much more than that for a holiday anywhere. In Pembrokeshire, you'll find this whole heap and more at Llandissilio Holiday Park 15 minutes' drive from the west Wales coast.

Owners Chris and Em have fully refurbished the park and all is well kept and clean including the grounds, gardens and play area. The bar is family friendly with a relaxed atmosphere and a beer garden, and is adjacent to the heated indoor pool which is free of charge for guests to use. Free wifi is available around the bar area.

There's no shop on site, but the pub right by the site has a restaurant and bar meals; the local post office and bakery are within walking distance, and a supermarket is a short drive away.

site was clean, toilets block spotless

    Disliked:

this isn't a site for tourers most the vans on park were sited so the campsite was empty, pitches were tiny, nothing on site for older children apart from a small pool that the kids found too hot and was making them feel ill.
we were pitched right next to a busy main road that we were told goes quite around 9 pm when infact the traffic was still busy at 1 am and started again at 4 am so we had hardly any sleep we were given the opportunity to move but the pitch offered was too small for our van and awning.
On arrival we were bombarded with a load of site rules that put us off instantly ,we were given our welcome pack the day we were leaving,
ALL pitches are on gravel we were told that we were NOT to go on any grass under any certain terms this made it almost impossible for us with the awning as our pegs wouldn't go in the ground, no BBQS are allowed No drying towels outside your van,
we were even told by a regular that the rules were ridiculous and his children couldn't breath without being told off constantly so was siting his van elsewhere !

From the manager...

Upon arrival the Emyr walked you around all the site and showed available pitches, all our pitches are hard standing as advertised.
Emyr offered to help level the caravan and his help was refused. We offered to move you to another pitch but that was refused, as well.
Mr Bowden told Emyr that they had come at the wrong time because of the silage tractors passing
Sorry that you were disappointed .

Immediate help to set caravan and level it up. Check electric was working before left to settle in. On arrival to club house we were made to feel very welcome.
Toilet and shower block have been revamped to a high standard and are spotless.
Both Chris and em the owner can't do enough for you. Em always about and willing to help with any problem. Hide and seek for the kids so adults can relax.
Came for the weekend and we have decided to stay for the season.
Thank you both for making caravaning enjoyable again.

EVERYTHING Chris and Em are fantastic hosts x when arrived was helped to level caravan, nothing was too much. Kids were entertained throughout our stay even playing hide and seek with Em of a evening. The den has a football table and pool table both very well priced, all sweets and drinks for kids again exceptionally well priced. All in all an excellent break both for us and the children. WELL DONE EM AND CHRIS a lil treasure of a holiday park.

On arrival the owners helped us pitch our caravan as it was our first time touring. Nothing was too much trouble and they know the area well so easy to find local amenities.
The kids loved the parks, kids den which had reasonably priced pool and table football. Em even plays hide and seek with the kids in the evenings while the adults enjoy the club house. Sweets, drinks and ice creams for kids in the club house very well priced.
Lovely swimming pool, very warm and showers/toilets immaculate.
Our pitch was level and tap right next to electric hook up so didn't have to roll water far.
Very friendly residents in club house; we were there for bank holiday weekend so lots of entertainment on.
Loved it so much we have booked to come back again.

    Disliked:

Could have a place to buy staples like milk and bread on site but haven't included this in ratings as we didn't personally need it.

Directions

Llandissilio Holiday Park is easy to find. After leaving the A40 at Penblewin, take the A478 towards Cardigan. Travel approximately 4 miles through the village of Clunderwen and into the village of Llandissilio, as you are about to leave the village you will see Llandissilio Holiday Park on the left.

If you are travelling from the North through Cardigan towards Llandissilo, stay on the A478 through Glandy cross, through Efailwen, just before the village boundary of Llandissilio you will see the entrance to Llandissilio Holiday Park on your right.

Local attractions

Escaping to the Pembrokeshire and west Wales countryside is a doddle from this park, like to the scenic walks and pony trekking of the nearby Preseli Mountains and their surrounds in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Museums, historic houses and ancient castles are also within easy reach.

If you're in Wales to investigate the fishing, firstly how clever of you and secondly you won't have to go far. Many a river and stream suitable to the art are within a three-mile radius; the fishing (and sailing and country park) of Llys-y-Fran reservoir is nearby, and a bit further afield is the salmon fishing from coracles at the Cenarth Falls. Fishing permits can be sorted when you arrive on site; ask the Llandissilio Holiday Park crew for advice.

And if you're here to investigate the Welsh coastline, that's jolly clever of you too: the famed sands and surf of Tenby and Saundersfoot are within a 15-minute drive.
