Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (pet friendly)
Liked First camping trip as a family in our camper van and this place was great! Location was fab, even more convenient for us as it’s only 45 minutes from home so perfect for a quick weekend away.
The staff were so lovely, its family run and they were super helpful. They gave us so much guidance and activities, surrounding areas to explore and kept us fully stocked with fresh water.
The camping field was well maintained and clean and Adele did a superb job of keeping the toilets fully stocked and recycling sorted, making sure everyone was having the best time! I even kind of enjoyed the sawdust toilets. It was nice to have the overall experience of a wild camp but the security of knowing the staff were only a call away if you had any uses.
We had a great time and will definitely be returning, especially for another walk up to the lucky grand oak tree 🥰

Amazing
Shepherd's hut (bunk beds, no electricity, wood-burning stove)
Liked Host were very welcoming anything we needed they provided. The shepherds hut we stayed in was very spacious and cosy and even had added extras like books for us to read. The area is beautiful and well kept .
Disliked Not a huge dislike but maybe a suggestion of possibly adding something for the kids to do maybe like a swing set or a little playground.

Really enjoyed my stay here!
Shepherd's hut (bunk beds, no electricity, wood-burning stove)
Liked The shepherds hut was very cosy. Too hot to use the wood burner but we did have a fire outside. A great outdoor kitchen space, very well equipped, everything you need to barbecue or cook on the double hob. Compost loos and a hot shower! Exceeded my expectations. Beautiful space, fantastic views, a babbling stream, peace and quiet. Really loved our stay, we will be back…
