General
- Small family-run farm site in the scenic Neath Valley
- Aberavon Beach 25 minutes' drive; Gower Peninsula 40 minutes
- Country park, pub and farm shop within a mile from site
Surrounded by mountains and lush natural woodlands, Wenallt Wild Camp is a peaceful family-run spot in the scenic Neath Valley. Set just a short distance from the river Neath in a convenient location within a mile of convenience stores, a pub and a country park, there's a lot to like about this site on the edge of the village of Tonna.
There's also a lot to like about how easy it is to get out to the coast, including the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty 40 minutes' drive from base. The beach at Aberavon, meanwhile, is about 25 minutes away, and there's lots to see (including waterfalls) along the area's inland waterways as well.
Wenallt Wild Camp has facilities including toilets and showers (all of which are maintained to a high standard) and a covered communal barbecue area with a dart board, dining table and firepit. Dogs (on leads) are allowed here, and you also have permission to build campfires in the designated areas.
Need to stock up on supplies? Try the local farm shop (five minutes' drive) and sample some fresh Glamorgan produce.
