  • Peaceful site in the grounds of an Anglesey pub
  • In Rhosgoch village, half an hour's drive from Beaumaris or Holyhead
  • Locally brewed drinks and hot pub food served; Sunday roast available
Wash down cool coastal walks and days by the sea with a chilled drink or some pub grub… at The Ring Pub Caravan and Camping Site, you’ll be staying on a small-scale pub site in the north of the Isle of Anglesey. As well as being roughly a mile and a half from Llyn Alaw Reservoir and four miles from the coast at Bull Bay (making walks or watersports easy to hunt down), this friendly North Wales spot has the added benefit of being attached to a well-established public house that serves food and drinks and has an all-round cosy feel… so, relax and socialise away. With a popular pub garden on the grounds of this peaceful countryside park (which are well-maintained, flat and bordered by greenery, by the way), there’s plenty of scope for lounging around. And when you’re not unwinding or tucking into something tasty in the former spot, there's lots of exploring to do nearby, including various visit-worthy stretches of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. This well-mapped trail passes through lots of coastal villages, a fab way to stop and catch your breath or admire the views, including Moelfre and Lligwy (both 20 minutes' drive). Facilities-wise, back at base, you have toilets, showers and other basics. To stock up on food for those times when you're minded to cook for yourself, your best bet is to head 10 minutes down the road to the supermarkets in Amlwch. There's also a little shop on site for the basics, local produce and gifts/souvenirs.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Pitches were big and well spaced with power. Very quiet and peace. Food and welcome at the pub was excellent. Unfortunately we had to leave early to get the ferry so couldn’t have the breakfast which was on offer. Facilities were very clean and new.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Friendly welcome

Disliked: We felt site more suited to motorhomes than touring caravans as access is tricky to pitches at the top of slope

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Reviewer Thank you for taking the time to review us. It's great to hear that you enjoyed our friendly welcome. Due to us being a small site, it can be easier to pitch caravans using your motor mover, but this is not essential. I am sorry to hear that this would prevent you from returning to us or recommending. Kind Regards Mark, Claire & The Ring Team

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Small site , but very tidy, everything was catered for down to the dog shower. Pub on site was good. It would be good for an overnight stay on way to ferry.

Disliked: Nothing really. We tend not to move once we are pitched up and the only thing I can say was there was nowhere near to walk to but we just chilled for the day.

From the manager: Dear Reviewer Thank you for taking the time to review us. It's great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. as you say, due to our remote location, a vehicle that you wish to use during your stay is needed. There is plenty of quiet country lanes for walking directly from us, but I appreciate your comments about needing a vehicle. Our remote location is a huge selling point for us, but obviously this is not for everyone. Kind Regards Mark, Claire & The Ring Team

Electric hardstanding and grass campervan pitch (no awning)

Liked: Mark and the team are great. We arrived on a. Charity event night and hadn't booked a table for food. They rearranged the seating and they served fabulous food and a great price. We event stayed for the quiz. Check the pub web site for loads of events. The camping area is spotless and the facilities are the best I've ever seen at a very reasonable price. Everything is new and kept very clean.

Disliked: Nothing.
