They promise a Mountain View Anglesey – and a mountain view they certainly deliver (weather permitting, of course…) In fact, it’s a rather stunning mountain view too: far-reaching vistas here stretch out over open farmland to the peaks of the Snowdonia National Park beyond. And this isn’t the sort of place where you’ll just get a glimpse here and there: there are fine views to gaze at all around here, whether you’re hanging out in your spacious private garden area or cosied up inside (the big picture windows see to it that you can be tucked up in bed or eating at the dining table while still looking out at gorgeous greenery – how fab). Equal to the excellent views outside are the smart facilities in the static caravans here: each one is completely separate, with a private garden that’s got a firepit, barbecue area and a climbing frame… plus a wood-fired hot tub that may well be the pick of all the spots to watch the sky at sunrise or sunset (or any time in between… or after dark, when the stars come out…). Inside all is light and bright, with a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a fire, comfy sofas, Chromecast TV and a dining table (pick up bits for dining indoors or out at the supermarket 15 minutes’ drive away). If you can drag yourselves away from all this, it’s good to note that Mountain View’s handy Llannerch-y-medd location is pretty central within the Isle of Anglesey, so you can get to any corner you choose with a drive of half an hour or less.

Local attractions

Being in a handy central spot, you could drive for about 20 minutes in pretty much any direction you choose and hit a gorgeous beach or clifftop walk. If you can’t decide where to start, top picks include the beaches of Cemaes, Porth Padrig and Rhoseneigr, plus the fab dunes around the village of Moelfre. A little further away but well worth the half-hour drive is the stunning Newborough beach, where you can walk through the forest to a sandy beach and on to the atmospheric Ynys Llanddwyn tidal island. If you’d rather an inland walk, head to Llyn Alaw (15 minutes’ drive) for lakeside trails in a special nature reserve. For a change of scenery, other days out nearby might take you to Beaumaris Castle (35 minutes), the Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens (half an hour) or meeting fluffy pals at Foel Farm Park (35 minutes). Or of course you could set your sights further again by popping to the mainland to stroll in Snowdonia (45 minutes) or head to Holyhead (20 minutes) for ferries to Ireland.
