Blue seas, peaceful canoeing and Isle of Anglesey coastal walks are just some of the treats in store on a getaway at Church Creek Campsite. On the south west side of the Isle of Anglesey, this quiet adults-only site is a great spot for non-motorised watersports and has splendid views over the Rhoscolyn straits, the big blue and Four Mile Bridge, making it a scenic base indeed… So, feel free to chill out as much as you like (over a barbecue, perhaps?). Thing is, you might not want to sit still too long, given that the site is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the estuary, where the Isle of Anglesey coastal path can be picked up (a splendid route which heads past coves, arches and sandy beaches). Even more conveniently, Church Creek Campsite has its own private beach and slip on the estuary where guests can whip out their fishing gear or launch a canoe, even at low tide, as well launch a small boat or RIB. It’s part of a channel from an old mill, where the water doesn’t empty in the same way as the rest of the estuary. It’s deep enough to paddle your canoe to the sea, and the fish like to feed there at low tide, making it a top spot for anglers when the rest of the estuary’s dry. Plane spotting might also feature on your itinerary here – half an hour’s walk will get you to RAF Valley, where various cool planes swoop in and out of the airport. However mucky you get on the local hikes and beaches (this includes the sandy Traeth Llydan, 20 minutes’ drive away, where canoe rental is available), the site has toilet and shower facilities for you to freshen up again.

Liked This is our third time here. We like that it is beautiful and peaceful. You can walk to the estuary and enjoy a sunset, the owner is very relaxed and you can choose the spot you want to pitch up. Wake up to lovely views.

Liked An absolute gem of a campsite if you like to get away from it all, has all the basics you need, toilets, water,shower all clean and tidy.
Views are spectacular as are the walks to 4 mile bridge and Rhosneigr beach.
Shaun was really helpful with anything we asked and his Father knows a lot about the history of the area.
Definitely be back soon. Not the sort of site if you want a bar, entertainment and such like, but we didn't and was an awesome place to have a break away from day to day life.
The planes coming in and out of RAF valley are great entertainment.
No WiFi but 4g is excellent with o2.

Liked Lovely big space that was very relaxed. Owner was really nice when called to say we may arrive late.
Shower was good with warm water and nothing wrong with toilets at all!
Only a short drive away from small town with shop and places for food as well.
Definitely will be staying in same place again next time!

Liked We really enjoyed our stay, little hidden gem, was exactly what wanted, we only live locally so it's easy for us to come here when we can get time off work.
The owners are fantastic. It's a perfect off grid campsite next to the sea.
