What customers say
This campsite offers exceptional sea views and an excellent location, just a short walk from Moelfre village amenities and beaches. Reviewers consistently praise the cleanliness of the portable toilets and the site's simplicity, making it ideal for short stays. While facilities are basic with no showers, most guests found them manageable. Some recent feedback notes increased noise levels and difficulty contacting staff. The site is well-suited for those seeking back-to-basics camping in a stunning spot.

From the manager: Thank you for leaving the first feedback of 2026!
We’re so glad to hear you had a lovely stay with us. We’re sorry to hear that our portaloos were not to your liking. We do strive to keep these spotless for all of our guests. As a small pop-up campsite operating for only 28 days a year, a permanent toilet block would unfortunately not be viable.
We do try to be very clear in our information that we only have portaloos available on the camping field, and we hope this didn’t put too much of a dampener on your stay overall.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again in the future.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The location and views are fantastic — just a short stroll into the heart of Moelfre and only a 5-minute drive to Lligwy Beach, which in my opinion is the best beach for swimming.
The site itself is a simple pop-up, perfect for a relaxed 1–2 night stay in smaller tents. While the pitches aren’t huge, they’re well spaced from the next row. The ground is a little uneven in places, but this is more than made up for by the great value — especially compared to many other campsites on the island charging £50–£60 a night.
Disliked Nothing really - its a good site for the price.

Liked The location was fabulous
The village was super cute
Disliked The rules on your parking pitch need to be explained more clearly..
Somebody to actually meet you on your arrival time to explain the do's and don't and where you can park your car..
Getting a txt the morning after to say we hadn't parked in the correct way was very annoying, didn't come and check at the evening but did in the morning, by this point we were in benllech after walking down the coastal path..
All ok taking our bookings tho

From the manager: Dear Camper,
I’m sorry to hear your time with us didn’t go exactly as expected.
To clarify, we are a small family pop up campsite open for 28 days a year, advertised on pitchup to be self check-in and no reception.
We send out all check-in instructions to all campers with clear instructions on pitching, main rules, check-in and check-out time as well as our strict quiet times along with contact numbers if you need further help. This is standard procedure for self check-in holiday cottages, so believe should be just as easy to follow when choosing a marked out grass pitch. If there was confusion you would have been welcome to give us a call to help explain how to fit into the measured pitch. A call was not received.
We have welcomed hundreds of campers and all seem to be fine with the process, however will happily take your feedback on board.
The camping field is attended as we live in the property, however, we are not robots and do leave the property sometimes for normal day to day business as anyone would. Two contact numbers are available to call at any time.
It is correct you received a text the following morning as to not inconvenience you on your first night (not busy). However, blocking a clear driving path was not acceptable with a busy evening on the way, seeing as you left the following morning, very early and did not answer the phone when called. I felt a text to make you aware would be sufficient at the time.
We want all our campers to have a great time, however, don’t believe we are the site for you as we can safely say we are unable to give you 100% of our time to guide you step by step personally on pitching.
Perhaps a larger more commercial site may suffice?
Thank you again for your feedback.

Liked Perfect location ! This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this pop up site and loved it! The view is the best 👌you could sit and stare for hours watching the boats, kayaks, paddleboarders and the fishermen on the rocks in the distance . The beach is steps away and the village with ice cream shop, pub, cafe and beach is a 2min walk. It is on the coastal path so you can take off on foot so easily.
It's basic, with just portable loos (kept very clean) and cold water taps ...it is 'proper camping' and perfect for just a couple of nights. We will definitely be back .
