  • Well-maintained and quiet Llŷn Peninsula site on a working family farm
  • Just over a mile to the sandy beach and coastal path of Nefyn
  • A 10-minute walk from the local pub
Peacefully placed on the Llŷn Peninsula and surrounded by coastal and mountain scenery, Plasyngheidio Touring Caravan Park is on a working farm run by the same family for six generations. The site is small and friendly, in quiet countryside but close to activities and attractions around Pwllheli and the peninsula: it's just over a mile to the seaside town and sandy beach of Nefyn, Abersoch is within 20 minutes, and the spectacular Llŷn Peninsula Coastal Path stretches for 91 miles of splendid coastline from Caernarfon and Porthmadog. Away from the peninsula (if you must), Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is within 30 minutes and Anglesey within 40 (you must). Amenities include ladies' and gents' showers and toilets and a wheelchair-accessible family bathroom. The grounds are level and well lit, but please note you'll need a torch when making the 10-minute walk back from the local pub.

What customers say

This immaculately kept touring park is praised for its exceptional cleanliness and modern facilities, including underfloor heating in the washrooms. Visitors consistently highlight the warm welcome and helpfulness of the owners, Anwen and Robert, who go above and beyond for guests. While most find the site peaceful, a few note the distance to beaches. Additional charges for showers (£1) and electricity are a consideration for some.

Liked Anwen and Robert are both amazing people, couldn’t do anything more for us, stunning campsite with amazing facilities and really really clean and well maintained, easy reach off the beach just a short walk through stunning countryside.
This is so good we’ve booked to go back in a couple off weeks.

Camping pod

Liked Super clean and very good facilities, we stayed in one of the pods for a night while visiting local beaches.
Anwen runs a very tight ship and this little touring park benefits from her hard work, she’s a superstar!

Liked Really nice very clean and well maintained site, the owner was lovely.
The facilites were always spotless and its is only a small site so very quite. It is quite a distance to the beach about a 50min walk but if it is not wet you can go across the fields. Nice Pub about 10mins walk up the road. Overall a very relaxing stay.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Site was immaculate. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Providing great and appropriate local information. Even helping to avoid a divorce by helping with awning!

Pitches were flat hardstanding fully serviced at pitch.

Facilities were of the highest quality. All needs of the touring holiday maker were met.

Laundrette and wash up had a coffee machine, with very nice coffee and a glorious hot chocolate.

Showers are a £1 for 5 minutes, plenty of time and a good supply of hot water

Fantastic play areas for children.

Local pub was great Good quality food at reasonable cost.

The whole area was dog friendly. Walk next to site for exercising dogs.

We'll definitely be back!

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Nice open site a bit off the road so quiet. Lovely owners and some of the cleanest facilities I have ever seen. Great location for visiting Nefyn/Morfa Nefyn and beyond.

Disliked Showers are now £1 and not 50p as advertised - so clean to be almost worth it though. I think you have to pay for electric as well but luckily we have solar and the sun was shining. Pub nearby but narrow road for walking.

Local attractions

It's a 10-minute trip by car to the wide, south-facing sands at Pwllheli, a former haunt of smugglers and pirates. You'll find it quite a bit calmer these days, especially if you follow the fab Llŷn Peninsula Coastal Path round the peninsula for views and wildlife and splendid sea air. Sandcastles, paddling and rockpool exploration are all there by the sea, but don't overlook the town and its lively twice-weekly market. Head half an hour to Port Meudwy and catch a boat to Bardsey. Occupied since Neolithic times, later home to monks and saints, this wild little outcrop is a place of peace and beauty with an array of birdlife; you might spot grey seals swimming by the boat too. Check out Caernarfon Castle, sturdily built in the 13th century and still going (35 minutes' drive): dungeons and battlements as well as the odd re-enactment are on offer here. At Greenwood Forest Park (45 minutes), there's a fine spread of family thrills with an ecological twist: ride the solar waterslide, experience the world's first people-powered rollercoaster and whoop your way round the 70-metre sledge run.
