What customers say
This campsite offers a superb location with stunning mountain views, perfect for hikers and those visiting Snowdonia. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, good value for money, and basic but adequate facilities, including a warm drying room with a microwave and fridge. Campfires are permitted. The site is hilly, with some guests noting a struggle to find completely flat pitches. While generally clean, some facilities, particularly showers, received mixed reviews regarding cleanliness and the need for payment. The proximity to Llanberis village and Snowdon paths is a significant advantage.

awful site, avoid
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked close to Llanberis town & Snowdon path
Disliked - steeply sloping field - few flat areas to pitch a tent
- ridiculously overbooked - most tents had to pitch on sloping ground
- ludicrously few toilets/showers - 2M/2F/2unisex toilets & 2M/2F showers for 100+ tents

From the manager: Thanks for your review Andy, don't forget to cancel the dates you have booked in August as it will be busy then too!
Great site- friendly staff, family friendly atmosphere and fab views
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Not as “back to basics” as we had expected - hot showers, shared fridge and microwave facilities, a shop on site with friendly staff. Overall we had a really lovely experience and the views are to die for. Plus, an excellent position for Snowdon. Approximately 1.5km walk from the start of the Llanberis trail.
Disliked Very hilly (as to be expected with the area!) so it was a little hard to find a flat pitch. Be prepared to settle for “flatish”

Liked Perfect location, walking distance to the village, was not overcrowded which is great considering it’s August. Showers are warm, toilets are kept clean and the staff at reception are very welcoming/helpful.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Clean area, with a stunning view and friendly staff. Within walking distance to shops and pubs. Will definitely be coming back here to sit by the fire and absorb the views. Thank you so much
Disliked Only one working toilet on the pitch (within walking distance to others however) toilet bin was overflowing with used tissues.

Liked Lovely campsite with beautiful views. Just having a morning coffee looking at the peaks was a bliss. Lots of space to pitch and a very friendly staff :))

Excellent site, would highly recommend. Great location!
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great place. Incredible views from site. I found there was quick and easy access to the facilities and wasn't waiting long for the amount of people at camp (I was going early and late, as I was hiking all day, so I may have a distorted perception). Cheap, easy to find, easy to book in, easy access to Llanberis and the main Snowdon path. Showers were good.
Disliked The site is on mainly on a hill, so if you can't get a flat spot, you end up sleeping at a slant - It isn't uncomfortable, but something to keep in mind. The only route into site is a thin road, only enough for one vehicle.
