What customers say
This is a beautiful, basic campsite in a stunning location with spectacular mountain views and a river. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and clean facilities, particularly the hot showers. It's ideal for exploring local walks and towns. However, some guests noted that toilet facilities could be improved and occasional noise from other campers, though this is not the norm. Overall, it offers great value for a peaceful getaway.

Great budget option
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great views, loads of space to choose from, no fuss check in process. We would come back again.
Disliked Locks on ladies toilets door did not lock. There is also some road noise, that could be a problem for some, not a problem for us.

Overall a lovely peaceful back to basics site. Would visit again.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked We stayed Sunday till Saturday. Plenty of space so peaceful as site not busy. Kids loved playing in the stream that runs alongside. Showers good pressure and temperature, can feel slightly closed in but they were clean. Porta loos dotted around the field, which were very clean and toilet paper stocked up twice daily. Come Friday is got very busy so wasn’t as peaceful. This was more due to a couple of groups who were close by. Loved that we could have a fire and being able to hire a drum and buy good dry wood for this.
The generator cut out twice during our stay think this was more to do with appliances/ EHU cables, although once owners aware of the generator quickly sorted.
Disliked Toilet block in need of replacing which I believe is currently in the process of being done.
Washing up area only cold water and no drainage, we reverted to washing up in the tent.

Fab location, could be a great site with improvements needed
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains and green fields. Quiet, unspoiled.
Disliked Toilets and washing up facilities need vastly upgrading which looks like is the process. No signage from road, unlike other campsites in the area. Not enough water taps.

Enjoyed my holiday but wouldn't go again
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful location, river at the edge of campsite gorgeous, lovely and peaceful when we went
Disliked Toilet situation is awful, porta loos stank like sewage, and dirty damaged toilets, shower block is like trying to get dry in a sauna as no ventilation, washing up facilities is 1 sink with no hot water and not connected to anything so you get wet feet because it just pours out of the bottom, only 1 water tap usually connected to the showers so not usable so have to use the tap at the washing up sink and if someone is washing up, you have to wait to collect water
