Herons Lake Retreat is a luxury glamping tent, set looking over a peaceful valley with beautiful lake views, in Caerwys, north Wales.

This cosy, modern bell tent is presented to a high specification and includes a double bed, TV, bedside units, lamps, plug-in heater, carpeted floor, microwave, small fridge-freezer, gazebo and a lovely outside seating area with a table and chair set, firepit and barbecue.

The outside area is an ideal place to sit and unwind after a busy day exploring the area. Extra inflatable mattresses can be added for additional guests to sleep up to a maximum of five people making the tent perfect for family groups. Herons Lake Retreat do not supply any gas camping stoves; however, guests can bring their own if they wish.

Bathroom facilities are located nearby including a bath, shower, sink, toilet, washing machine and dryer.

Directions


We are located 3 miles from Junction 31 off the A55 north Wales road. Upon taking the exit, head in the direction of Caerwys and we are around 1 mile from the village, proceed down the hill and you will find us on the left-hand side. It is a concealed entrance, but you will see the sign about 100 metres after you see the sign on your left for Plas Isaf.

Local attractions

There is plenty to see and do in the local area including excellent walks, cycling, fishing and horse riding, or you can take to one of the many local golf courses.

If you prefer sightseeing, we recommend a visit to Conwy Castle, Llandudno or Snowdonia National Park, which are all a short drive away.

If you fancy a day shopping then Chester city centre or the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, with its shops and cinema complex, are the destinations for you.

Chester also has a world-class zoo, the Blue Planet Aquarium, magnificent Roman walls and plenty of historic architecture.

Whilst bedding is provided for the kingsize bed, bedding and linen is not included for the extra beds and must be selected as an extra if needed.

A £30 damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
