  • Glamping site on a farm 25 minutes’ drive from Llandudno, North Wales
  • Surf Snowdonia 25 minutes’ drive; Zip World Penrhyn Quarry 45 minutes
  • Private hot tub; barn with pizza oven and barbecue; lift to local pub
A stay at Meadow Sweet Glamping is very sweet indeed, with views over Snowdonia, plenty of walks in the surrounding countryside, North Wales beaches a mere 20 minutes’ drive away and numerous luxurious touches for guests – private hot tub, anyone? The site is run by Clwyd and Jackie, who are always on hand to make your every glamping wish come true (or – if not ‘every’ wish – at least most of them). Fancy a sausage or a bacon bap for breakfast? Just let Jackie know the night before, and (for a small fee), she’ll make you one that will keep you sated throughout your morning explorations. Want to look for your favourite constellation in the night sky? (And you will: low levels of light pollution here lead to pretty spectacular stargazing experiences.) You’re welcome to use Clwyd and Jackie’s telescope. Keen on an evening in the pub? Your hosts will give you a lift to the local watering hole (again, for a small charge), where you can sample a home-cooked meal and sit in front of a roaring fire. If you’d rather do your own cooking, there’s a barn with a communal barbecue and log burner; you can get the basics in the Llangernyw essentials store (10 minutes’ drive) or do a bigger shop in Abergele or Llandudno Junction (both 20 minutes). Should you fancy a tasty Italian treat, Clwyd is in charge of rustling up pizzas to order from the woodfired oven. Your hosts will also make the relevant arrangements (decorations, chocolates and other accoutrements) for a special occasion, whether a birthday or a marriage proposal – more than one guest has been already inspired to pop the question…

Meadow yurt

Liked: Me and 3 other mates stayed here for the end of our Snowdonia 360 motorbike trip, the place was fantastic, Jackie and clwyd couldn’t have been nicer or better hosts, as well as a shared kitchen, with a kettle, tea, coffee and milk left for us, we had our own bathroom for us 4, with 4 towels for us blokes to have a shower, and some shower gel in case we didn’t bring any. The yurt we stayed in was amazing, we had 4 beds inside that were very comfortable with 2 quilts layed out per person, and had no problems sleeping at all. We also had a hot tub which was awesome and we definitely made the most out of as well as fresh bacon sandwiches efforts we left in the morning. This place was awesome and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
