What customers say
This campsite is situated next to a busy road and railway line, which guests frequently mention as a source of noise. However, many praise the friendly and welcoming staff, the good value for money, and the excellent food served at the on-site pub. Pitches are generally described as level. While some guests found the facilities basic or in need of updating, others noted improvements and cleanliness. It's considered a convenient stopover for walkers and travellers.

Dreadful campsite.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nothing
Disliked Next to very busy and noisy road, and a railway line and crossing (alarms sounding when train approaches). One shower and toilet and kitchen sink housed in an outhouse. Extremely basic and not very clean. Site not well maintained. Pub was closed, noone there to check in, no information available. Heard anedotally that the owner had left or was ill. Did not feel safe.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Really nice little place to camp if you want a bit of quiet and not a huge site with amusements and family's running around. Has good facilities to use and the pub itself offer really nice food, the breakfast I had was very nice. The owners are nice too so all in all a good place on the boundary of England and Wales....
