What customers say
This is a beautifully located, peaceful riverside campsite. Visitors consistently praise the immaculate, modern toilet and shower facilities, with many calling them the best they've experienced. The site manager, Chris, receives exceptional reviews for his friendliness, helpfulness, and accommodating nature. Pitches are spacious and level, offering lovely countryside and river views. The site is also a prime spot for observing low-flying aircraft on the Mach Loop. Some minor points include the proximity to the road (though generally not bothersome) and the integrated nature of the shower/toilet cubicles, which can be busy. There is no WiFi as advertised by Pitchup.com.

Perfect site for the Mach Loop
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Great site with spotless facilities. Cleaned several times per day.
We went mainly for the Mach Loop. Location is perfect for this, you don't have to leave camp unless you want to. Planes come right through the site along the river.
Originally booked a hardstanding pitch but when greeted by Chris the site manager on arrival he suggested a different spot on the grass as viewing planes was our main goal. This worked great for us and he offered an extension lead for our hookup as the spot was further away from a power point.
Ducks wander through site frequently, kids loved this.
Saw lots of red kites, herons and various other birds (I'm no expert) great for birds spotters too.
If you like to see things in the sky, this is the place to be.

Cracking little spot, perfectly located
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Everything about the place was spot on, river running through the campsite was a bonus. Pub 10 minutes walk away wasn't bad either.
Disliked All toilets had a shower in which is great if your showering but not great when a single family takes over all 4 rooms, only needed a morning p##s

Lovely welcome from Chris. Great pitch…
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lovely welcome from Chris. Great pitch with view of the river. Easy walk to a great pub too!
The shower/toilet facilities were clean and would have been excellent with the kids (if we’d brought them!) as they were spacious rooms with shower, sink and toilet-and plenty of hanging space which can be in short supply in many sites.
