What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful "back to nature" experience with spacious, well-maintained pitches and beautiful woodland and river access. Guests praise the friendly and helpful owners, cleanliness of facilities including compost toilets and hot showers, and thoughtful touches like free firewood and communal cooking equipment. The site is ideal for relaxation, stargazing, and enjoying wildlife. Some minor points raised include a lack of extensive signage and limited washing facilities, though improvements are planned.

Non-electric grass campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked A wonderful little campsite on a working sheep farm, tucked away near Builth Wells. We stayed four nights with our trailer tent on one of the special wood-chip pitches, which suited us perfectly; plenty of space and a great spot right by the oak wood.
Great views, a proper campfire pit, and overall a wonderfully tranquil place to unwind. Facilities are minimal but well thought out, and somehow that only adds to the charm. We loved all the sheep and the birdsong too. Waking up here is something special.
The owner was genuinely welcoming; she came out to help us settle in and we ended up chatting for a good while. That personal touch makes all the difference. We’d happily come back.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked This is a great little camping. Very quiet, with basic but clean and well functioning toilets and showers, and some nice little extras like the extra stove we could use to heat our kettle when we had run out of gas ourselves, and some extra cooking gear. The camping owner is very friendly and helpful. No electricity whatsoever, so be prepared!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We loved it here- it was really peaceful and spacious and we were sad not to stay longer. There’s lovely woodland for shade from the sun, benches and cover if it rains. Tania the host, was absolutely lovely, so chatty and giving of her time and facilities! There’s the beautiful river wye at the bottom of the field and I got to see a kingfisher whilst I was down there. We will definitely be back!

I appreciate the toilets are not flushable toilets they are compost so they are different but I do empty and clean them 3 times a day to make sure they are as fresh as possible but I totally understand they are not for everybody and I appreciate everyone’s opinion 😊

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked A true hidden gem! The campsite is incredibly clean, with spacious pitches that give you plenty of room to relax. Everything exceeded our expectations – the friendly hosts, excellent facilities, beautiful river access, and outstanding value for money.
One of our favourite moments was toasting marshmallows around the fire pit in the evening, which made our stay even more special. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained place to stay. We'll definitely be back!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Tania gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived and also gave us tips and info about the nearby area. We didn’t do many of them only because we were more than happy enjoying the campsite. She was available throughout our stay and we had some really refreshing chats with her about all sorts! She’s an inspiring person to talk to and for us coming from the city with our 9-5 office jobs, she really gave us food for thought about how we can be in nature more often.
The site itself is in a beautiful, secluded location, surrounded by farmland and woods. Pitches spaced apart on the field nicely so plenty of privacy. There’s a private shepherds hut onsite which looked beautiful for anyone fancying a glamp, but we kept it old school pitching our tent.
We loved the communal woodland area, even though we more or less had to place to ourselves for our stay. It was very peaceful. Perfect to hang out in (hammocks) and feel immersed in nature. It was especially helpful for staying cool during the heatwave this summer. The campsite facilities were in the woodland area. Two outdoor showers with hot water and kitchen/washing up area, and the composting toilets/bins are in separate area a very short walk down the woods. There were three fire pits, each with a nearby bench for prepping and eating on. The grills were height-adjustable, and there was lots of other useful cooking kit, like pans, pots, tongs, a fish griller etc. Fire wood and starters are free. One of our favourite things about camping is cooking with fire, and this campsite was perfect for it.
Bonus points for getting the chance to meet not only Tania and her husband but also their lovely, friendly dog Skye! It made our day.
Definitely our new favourite. We’ll be back!
