Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Loads of space on the pitch and grounds, star gazing, small stream for dogs to cool down, clean pitches. Lovely to relax and chill. Owner was pleasant, he obviously loves the place.
No WiFi, kids had to play!
Loads of red kites, awesome to see.

Disliked Toilets and shower block unfortunately let this down, decking in the block felt spongey in places, wood rots in water, gaps in some of the shower cubicle no paper towel to wipe hands in, the toilets were clean. No fire lighters in bag of wood £12. Park was small, Wendy house needed repair. Recycling area needs a good tidy up, so we can actually recycle, although site was busy.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked It was a great stay in a natural meadow. Joss's hospitality was truly a game changer, and this is the only campsite I want to visit again in the future. I highly recommend that visitors do not miss the birds singing early in the morning!!

What customers say

This is a beautiful, peaceful, and budget-friendly campsite set in a natural meadow surrounded by woodlands. Guests praise the friendly and accommodating owner, the well-maintained and clean facilities including hot showers, and the spacious, private pitches. The remote location offers excellent star gazing and opportunities to enjoy nature, though WiFi and phone signal are limited, which many found to be a positive. Some minor issues with muddy paths and shower block flooring were noted, particularly after wet weather, but the owner is actively addressing feedback and improvements are ongoing.

Liked Good location. Just 12 minutes drive from Lampeter . Quiet well kept campsite. Amendities alway's clean . Hot powerfull showers. Extra large private pitches seperated with shrubs for privacy .
Super friendly host. Making sure everything is good for his guests and stopping by with brief chat even when busy.
Decent size firewood bags sold by host, worth the money.
Phone signal just 1 bar 4g on Wodafone-just enough to keep in touch with outer world if needed. But that's a postitive point- we are coming out from the towns to switch off!
And all that for the price you can not beat !
Definately worth to come back when at this side of Wales.
RECOMENDED !

Local attractions

Everyone, even the unimaginative, will find something to do in Ceredigion and the Teifi Meadows surroundings, although the choice of what’s on offer may overwhelm dithery types… Historians of old should start off at the National Trust’s Dolaucothi Gold Mines (20 minutes' drive), the only Roman mines discovered so far in Britain and a deeply groovy place for underground tours. Also from the National Trust, 12th-century Dinefwr Castle and its 18th-century landscaped park lie high on a hill above the River Tywi near Llandeilo; and Llanerchaeron house, estate and walled gardens give a glimpse into how the Welsh gentry lived. The Trust manages a couple of beaches hereabouts, magnificent Mwnt beach (an hour and five minutes), regarded as one of the nicest 'hidden' beaches in Europe, and Penbryn beach (50 minutes), which James Bond fans might recognise from scenes in Die Another Day. Both are on the Ceredigion Coast Path, so don your boots for romantic walks: it’s 11.7 miles to Cardigan from Mwnt, and a much more strollable two miles from Penbryn to Llangrannog. The colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron (35 minutes) is a 6.5-mile walk from New Quay and a day in both is thoroughly recommended: Aberaeron for another spectacular beach, and New Quay (45 minutes) for dolphin-spotting boat trips, day-long fishing trips and a traditional bee farm. Further along the coast in Aberystwyth (50 minutes), take the Vale of Rheidol Railway up to the falls at Devil's Bridge.
